Great house and location for a large group

Stunning house, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Everything you need for a large gathering- plenty of kitchen equipment etc and additional hobs in case the Aga isn’t sufficient. Very cosy on a cold night, and the whole group agreed that the beds and bedding were very cosy and comfortable. There were 11 of us, including my 90 year old parents and 2 dogs, and we all loved the place. Not everyone had an en-suite - there are 3 bedrooms without it - 2 of them share the family bathroom in the top floor and guests in the room with 2 beds in it (which is in the ground floor) have to go up to the 2nd floor to use the wc or have a shower. Not insurmountable but worth knowing. We would absolutely stay there again. Owners were very helpful. We got good use from the table tennis table on the ground floor. Walking distance to Richmond centre. Clean

There was nothing we didn’t like, but a couple of things for visitors to be aware of. One in the bathroom situation mentioned previously, the other is the low number of electric sockets in bedrooms which is presumably due to the age of the house. Again, not insurmountable but worth being aware of. There is no wc on the middle floor which is where the sitting room, dining room and kitchen are located, however we managed fine without one - just means you get your workouts in by visiting the wc!

Amazing villa

Amazing grand place. I don't think any of could really believe how good it was. The pictures only sell half of the story. It's really spacious throughout and the grounds are mega. Absolutely perfect for the family trip we had with a real range of ages. Quick walk into town too for supplies and such

The Property, inside and out, is beautiful. Also in an idyllic setting, it was a real gem to find and great value for money. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive and we could not have asked for more.

Family celebration

Beautiful comfortable house. We were there to celebrate our daughter's 40th birthday. Ages ranged from 1 to 75 with 5 children under 6! Lots of room and very family friendly. The children loved the toys and the two youngest the rocking horse! Beautiful grounds for them to run around in. Beds were so comfy and bedlinen and towels were very high quality. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean Weather wasn't good during our stay but it didn't matter with such a lovely house and garden to explore Communication with the owner was good and it was nice to have Angela to show us around. Highly recommended and would love to return but will need to save up!

Very relaxing and comfortable stay in a beautiful Villa, would highly recommend it for any family groups.

Stunning spacious property with fantastic gardens. Our group of 14 ranged from 1 to 76 years old and there was plenty of room for everyone without all being together all of the time. It was lovely and private, with only a short walk into the village and nearby to the river. There were plenty of towels and bedding, the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need, including 2 dishwashers and 2 fridge-freezers.

Everybody enjoyed the house, the location and the choice of shops which were not far away.

The property is gorgeous and the rooms/bedrooms were all a lovely size. There was loads of space for 6 of us 🙂 The grounds/garden were amazing too. If we had any questions, a text was responded to in good time. It was lovely to meet Angela on arrival, to show us where various things were.

Fantastic, welcoming, cosy yet spacious.

We all had a wonderful stay in a wonderful, stunning house. Every thing was clean, and all facilities were provided. Beautiful grounds and plenty of space for the family to relax and enjoy. A little cupboard of essential foods were also handy. A short walk in to the town of Richmond, which is equally lovely. The home made treacle tart and bottles of wine was a lovely gesture on arrival and went down a treat! Thankyou for a memorable NEW YEAR!

Nothing we didn't like but if we were returning we would not be able to bring our parents due to there being no toilet on the first floor (where the kitchen and lounges were). This is not something that can be changed but may need to be considered if any elderly people, for example, were in the party. The only reason I have not put 5* for value for money is that it was over our usual budget and we were just two families. If you were 6 couples sharing the cost, then definitely 5* value for money.

Amazing weekend - the house was the star just what we wanted it to be.

A unique and fantastic property and a great time was had by all. A beautiful and luxurious Georgian Villa with bags of room, character and atmosphere. Just what we needed for our Murder Mystery weekend away with friends. We really couldn't fault anything and a very friendly host to boot, who showed us the essentials and then left us to it; even happy for us to stay much longer on the departure day than anticipated, which was really helpful for a party of 10 adults.
