Suited us over the Christmas period

In a great setting spotlessly clean and comfortable made full use of the hot tub and in a great location for us to get to family. We didn’t see any staff at all but wanted to say Thank you for a great stay

We were very happy and as it was Christmas we didn’t want to disturb any staff but could have done with another small towel for hair also the vanity light didn’t work and no chopping board could be found all very minor!

Comfortable, homely cottage in lovely surroundings

The little cottage was just the right size for my needs. It was very well stocked with appliances, crockery, cutlery, pots pans, knives for preparation, also tea, coffee and little milk pots. I felt at home from first taking my bags in.

Wigginton Road was busy hence very noisy when sitting outside at the back, until too late to sit out in late September

A good place to stay, a short drive to York.

This is a good venue with decent accommodation. The rooms were clean, the bed was ok - there's plenty of easy access parking onsite. The info stated a washing machine when we booked, the room didn't have one. It was unfortunate, however the staff went out of their way to give us access to another room so that we could do our washing - easily solved! The shower broke while we were there - once again the staff went out of their way to have it repaired & fix the problem. It's a short drive into York which is a lovely place to visit. Parking in York is easy as they have a lot of car parking areas so it's worth staying out of the City.

Nice location, close to York. Very clean and inside the property it is well laid out with all that you need to enjoy your stay.

The beds are very uncomfortable and the exterior cottage walls are thin that adjoin to the properties next door.

Property was nicely furnished inside + looked great from outside. Bed with TV raising from within was a nice novelty touch. Teabags / coffee / sugar provided was also good.

CCTV cameras pointing at not just our hot-tub but what appeared to be another hot-tub found in a cupboard near the door. Felt like a lack of privacy. Barbecue was filthy, looked rusty / mouldy on the outside + had dried mouldy fat on the inside. Quite an expensive stay - yet no basics provided such as Shampoo / Body wash, expect this to be usually provided in most similar stays. Hot-tub cover was broken so it had a seal that was permanently resting in the water. Also wasn’t on an arm so you had to physically lift both sides which felt a bit strange for a nice hot tub in a nice location. Sofa was also not very comfortable in living room - with cushions repeatedly sliding forward when sat down. In addition, the TV remotes for both the living room + bedroom were really slow and had to press buttons multiple times for anything to happen.

Nice place to stay;

Location, size of cottage.

The metal beds, very noisy struggled to sleep. Daughter slept on sofa bed as too noisy for her. TV in living room was not the best; fortunately only their for few days and used bedroom tv WiFi was very slow and poor, would not connect to laptop or strong enough for TV to work with.

We stayed one night only as we were dissappointed with the apartment facilities.

The grounds appeared to be well maintained.

The apartment was small & cramped. It felt claustrophobic due to living, eating and relaxing in one small area (including the kitchen) Settee was hugely uncomfortable and was crammed into a corner next to (a) the sink (b) below the central heating boiler. Bathroom. - shower was too small for a normal sized person. No shower mat causing potential slip danger (health & safety issue ??) Traffic noise was relentless Dante Cottage was next to the cleaning store separated by a thin wasll thus noise when cleaners were active early in the morning.

Much needed improvements , i was not happy

It did look really nice and cosy and the check in and out was easy and was only a 5 minute drive from the main centre of york.

Where do i start , looks can be decieving , the walls were paper thin and could hear absolutely everything in the opposing cottage and i mean everything even all of the conversations so you can imagine why their playing music and constantly using the taps which would also make the boiler really loud and all sorts while were trying to sleep wasnt pleasant. The bed was held up by 3 pieces of wood which has clearly broken in the past which made sense to why the bed did not feel stable which i only found out in the morning of departure. The tv's wouldnt properly work and kept on buffering and not loading up channels as the antenna cable was lose in the tv's. Then charged £30 per pet but then had no extra towels or anything incase they needed washing but also had rules of not in the room , not on furniture or anything , why say your pet friendly but then basically cant do anything other then sit on the living room floor that is not PET FRIENDLY! The bedroom door also would not close properly And lock into place which would let light in through the front door where there was no blind to block out the light on the door.

Loved the stay

Was a cute and simple space, good value for money so we had spare pennies to enjoy York itself. It was also great that we didn't have to worry about checking in or out too much with the freedom of going on and off the farm at any time wanted without having to go through receptions or big security gates l. No worry about being too late or having to leave too early either!

Could've done with a smile side table or coffee table in the open planned, but nothing major as everything was as needed to be

For the amount of room you have the bathroom was not given much thought with no space by hand basin cut my head against the unit whilst having a shave, shower itself very poor no room unless you are 5foot 3 and weigh 8stone. Thanks

Unable to locate first aid kit. The taps to the bath were loose. My partner found it very difficult to access the bath; she was concerned about falling.

Great stay

Keys were in the property on arrival - completely contactless. Milk, tea and coffee provided. Plenty of free parking available. Quiet in the property even though is next to a road.

The inside of the kettle was not clean, and there wasn't a filter on pouring so I did not use it. I resorted to heating water on the stove with a pan. There was a gate straight from the car park to the lodges but it was locked so you had to walk all the way around the properties which was frustrating. In the shower, there is not a shelf or anywhere to put toiletries, so you have to keep them on the floor of the shower. If a new kettle can be provided, a shower bottle holder added, and the gate unlocked for you to walk straight to the lodges then it would be the perfect stay.
