Villa Farm York

We really enjoyed our week in York. The accommodation was ideal for what we needed. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Nearby is a local nature reserve where you can walk and Haxby has a great park for the kids as well as a decent sized Sainsburys. The Park and Ride was so close and easy to use. The place itself was well equipped and positioned well in terms of venturing to Brimham Rocks and Whitby for example. Would definitely stay again if up this way.

Honestly, it was a good choice of accommodation. The only bit I'd say needed improving was perhaps a floor lamp!

On a busy road with no footpaths

Location is quiet as its just outside York. Its good for the North West side of York & we used the Rawcliffe Park & ride to get into the city. Is also very convenient for the out of town shopping on that side of York. The property was clean & well laid out with sufficient plates, pans etc in the kitchen area. A smoke alarm sounded the low battery noise in the adjacent property. I called the out of hours number to the security company that handled the contract. They came around after about an hour & took the battery out so the noise stopped. I thought this was a good response for a Saturday evening.

My bed was a bit soft for me but the rest of the party found theirs OK. The car parking is not immediately next to the property.

TV reception patchy and channel choice very limited
