A great small spa hotel in Sandanski

A great find for us and we will definitely go again. This is a small hotel on a hill overlooking Sandanski. We only stayed one night and ate in the restaurant so the distance didn't bother us. There is a car park with a barrier. The staff were really nice, genuine people. For the price we paid the room was just fine - if I come again for longer I'll book a larger room - but the spa and pool were great. A nice big warm pool that was not overcrowded and 4 saunas/steam rooms were better than some of the much larger and fancier spas I have been to in Bulgaria costing twice the price. We ate dinner in the restaurant - the menu is modest but the food was tasty and inexpensive, and we enjoyed the breakfast. As another reviewer mentioned you choose your breakfast from a menu but I don't find that unreasonable for a small hotel. The scrambled eggs I got were delicious

The room was small and there were no tea or coffee facilities - but that is what we booked and for the price it was fine.

Really kind people.

Everyone was really kind and caring. I would say I haven't seen such kind people for a while. Although the hotel doesn't have all the stars, people working there make the difference.

The room didn't have a radiator in the bathroom where we can dry oyr towels. Though, this wasn't the end of the world.

This hotel is a good place to stay

The swimming pool was one of the best, with thermal water. The breakfast and dining were very good, staff also very nice.

The 4-person room was big, but the illumination was poor due to its position in the building. It has big non-opening windows that do not allow fresh air to enter the room.

Do not recommend.

It was clean.

In fact it is an apart-house, small building with tiny corridors. Location is bad - outside the town, surrounded by buildings in process and other apart-houses on 1-2 meter distance from your window. The restaurant- terrace is in the middle of other buildings with direct view to their windows. The sun beds are just another terrace with few sun beds. We didn’t check the SPA at all. Bad experience with the booking - after booking the room, on the other morning from the hotel texted me to state that there are no free rooms. I opened a support ticket with booking.com and as a result the hotel texted me again to say that our reservation is confirmed.

This hotel has an excellent spa.

The hotel is located on a steepy hill and we had to go by car to the town's walking area. The room is quite small. The breakfast is good, but limited and served from a menu

Breakfast was good, but the options were limited. Fortunately, the staff was very helpful. They always found a solution for our specific needs. Our car was safe. They offer as a remote for garage. The staff was very polite and careful.

The stay at Aqua Sun&spa hotel was great. The staff was nice and polite,pool and spa were excellent and cleanliness was also great. Its worth the money. I would recommend it. I would visit it again.

Overall good impression. Friendly staff. The SPA facilities are very good. The hotel is recent ant well furnished.

The bathrooms are not ok, the so called "wet" type. The restaurant could propose more choice. The breakfast is served, a buffet could save time and give more choice.

Highly not recommended

Restaurant staff is very friendly and supportive. The furniture is brand new. The food was delicious.

Room is placed in front and very close to other building. Almost all rooms are faced towards it. There are even rooms placed on the underground level. If you are by chance accomodated with other noisy guests you will hardly get rest, especially if they are ill-mannered and especially if the hotel staff are not suppotive on the way to make them behave. The hotel is placed away from the town center and the road to it is very dusty and narrow to walk. The restaurant area is very small and both rooms smokers and non smokers are very close to each other. So if there are smoker guests, please feel welcomed to smoke with them. For the four nights stay we get only clean towels but never clean room. Same price you will get four star hotel at the center. In door parking is very narrow, you have to be very skilled to park and forget about exiting the car afte you park, you will be so close to the columns.

The spa was great!

The bathroom tiles were extremely slippery! Unacceptable! The rooms were too small! The air conditioner worked when it decided to. The salt room in the spa was not working.
