Cozy, nice homemade breakfast, they upgrade us to a bigger suite for free since the hotel was empty
The loud music from the restaurant was annoying and continued until 23 pm. Kids could not fall asleep easy

Good location, top of the Main Street and walking distance to local attractions. Parking outside on the street was fine. Lovely clean and spacious apartment room, with excellent breakfast. Good service. Good wifi. We enjoyed Melnik - good restaurants, lovely monastery walks, interesting local wine and wineries..
Would have been nice to be able to make own tea and coffee, but that’s a minor point.

Lovely hotel but no hot tub / jacuzzi :(
The person who greeted us at reception (and made breakfast the next day) was lovely. Little English but very helpful.
The room was large and clean. The shower was hot.
The breakfast was called 'Complet' and consisted of toast, jam, tomatoes, cheese, peppers, cucumbers, hard boiled egg, etc. (this was the vegetarian option).
The hotel is in a good position to explore the village.
Note that despite the hotel being advertised as having a hot tub / jacuzzi, it is only working for a few months in the summer. Therefore, this information is quite misleading and should be updated properly.
The mattress was tired and saggy and the base sheets didn't cover it properly, so I woke up with them twisted everywhere. Bigger sheets would be a good idea.

Very interesting town. The hotel respects the local architecture. Super staff and great food. The owner is very welcoming.

It is good for 1-2 night
The staff, the restaurant, and the location is outstanding! Dinner (Bolyarka speciality) was awesome, house wine was very good, and the staff was very helpful. They accept dogs without extra costs (in the resturant too).
Melnik is wonderfull, you have to try it!
Staff's english knowledge is very poor, room was small, and not too clean. Fridge was smelly. Shower and toilet is in one small room, actualy you can have a shower sitting on the toilet. :D Waiter in the restaurant was helpful but pretty slow.

The staff was polite and helpful, the room was big enough with a comfortable bed. We had a good sleep, it is very quiet around the hotel. The owner is an ex-football player and has stories to tell. Breakfast and dinner were delicious - all products are either homemade or bought directly from farmers.

Единственото хубаво нещо беше закуската
Рядко оставям отрицателни отзиви, тъй като винаги подхождам с разбиране и добронамереност към местата, които избираме за отсядане. За съжаление, престоят ни в хотел „Болярка“ в Мелник беше разочароващ и не отговаряше нито на описанието, нито на основните ни очаквания.
Основната причина да изберем този хотел беше посоченото наличие на работещ ресторант. Преди да направя резервация през Booking.com, дори лично се обадих, за да се уверя, че ресторантът функционира и ще можем да вечеряме на място. Получих потвърждение и именно заради това направихме резервацията.
Още с пристигането ни обаче стана ясно, че ресторантът няма да работи точно тази вечер. Вместо да получим извинение или поне любезно отношение, бяхме посрещнати от изключително груб господин, който с арогантен тон ни обясни, че няма да вечеряме там и едва ли не сме длъжни да се съобразим.
Не смятам, че трябва да се обяснявам защо държа да вечерям в хотела, в който съм отседнала. Това беше основното ни условие при избора и за него чинно си платихме. В противен случай бихме избрали друг хотел – в Мелник има достатъчно места, които предлагат ресторант и коректно отношение към гостите си.
Що се отнася до условията в стаята – за хотел с три звезди беше меко казано под очакванията. В банята имаше само две малки сухи сапунчета и нищо друго като тоалетни принадлежности. Гардеробчето беше твърде малко и напълно запълнено с възглавници и одеяла, така че нямахме къде да приберем дрехите си.
Посещаваме често хотели чрез Booking и винаги сме оставяли позитивни отзиви, когато има за какво. За съжаление, тук основният проблем беше отношението на домакина, който със самочувствие заяви, че „от 25 години посреща гости“. Ако за 25 години е успял да усвои такъв начин на посрещане, още 150 няма да му стигнат, за да стане добър и уважителен домакин.
Считам, че гостите заслужават уважение, коректност и минимум покритие на описаните услуги. За съжаление, хотел „Болярка“ не покри тези елементарни изисквания.
