Location was incredibly convenient, staff were very friendly. Room was clean. Coffee and tea in the room was well-stocked.

The property could have had better air conditioning or fan systems in place. It wasn’t properly ready for this heat in the UK atm. A bigger fan would have helped.

Fabulous location in central Oxford within walking distance of the railway station and the colleges. Pleasant and helpful receptionist. It’s a well-maintained student room with modern furnishings, a very good desk and nice en suite; shower is excellent, nice towels and toiletries. Bed reasonably comfortable. Adequate electrical sockets, kettle, and a small fridge. It's room only - no breakfast - but there are plenty of cafes in the area.

Wifi access was awkward: I needed to register with either a Sky account or with name, DOB, gender (why?) and a house number and postcode in the UK. I don’t reside in the UK. So I didn’t bother. Phone network coverage (Vodafone) was strangely poor considering I was in central Oxford. So I struggled for internet access all weekend and left the room early on Sunday morning so I could do some work in the airport. Room faces south onto the High St with traffic noise, people partying at night, so earplugs needed. It was uncomfortably hot: the first night, after a sunny day, it was 30°C - and the sash windows are restricted to open only a couple of inches. A desk fan was provided which I ended up keeping on constantly through the night. By the morning (this is in August) the temp was 26°C in the room according to the fan’s temp readout. The following day was rainy and the room was more comfortable at night. No hairdryer, no bedside lamp - there’s a lamp mounted on the wardrobe for some reason - no desk lamp. No blinds at windows so I kept curtains drawn for privacy. Curtains are blackout grade curtains but not totally effective at night.
