The location of The Editor's Choice in Oban is great. The apartment was clean, spacious and well furnished. Communication from the owner regarding arrival, door codes and key location was clear and even included photos, which was very helpful. Lots of information was provided for recommendations on local eateries.
If you stay in apartment 4, there is not a "panoramic harbor view" as advertised. I imagine apartment 3, which shares the floor with 4, has panoramic views because of its placement in the building. However, #4 has only partial harbor views at all, and those if you are sitting in the left corner of the living room and standing to the left side of the bedroom window, so be sure to ask which apartment you are being assigned. There wasn't enough information provided by the owner on appliance operation and location of things (for instance, the drying rack lowers from the ceiling in the hallway). The common stairwell is not well kept by the building owner - dust is thick on the carpet and all the stair treads, which is a problem for people (like me) with allergies who are going up four flights of stairs. If you are driving a car, the parking is frustrating and inconvenient.

It is full of character with high ceilings and lots of space. Everything needed for a short stay was there including shower gel, shampoo, tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc. Lovely view from the window seat in the living room. Helpful and friendly owner. Handy for everything.
