Oban flat!

A brilliant space for a trip to Oban! An extremely well stocked kitchen, lots of space for a family and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Also lovely views being on the second floor!

Do Not Stay At This Apartment

Do not stay at this apartment. It is filthy. It appeared that the apartment had not been properly cleaned for quite sometime. Black mould in the bathrooms, unwashed kitchen utensils and grubby floors. The entry to the building and common areas are in a state of disrepair.

Nice little place for a family

Good apartment for a family. The kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment is very well positioned close to the supermarkets, far from the main road but only a short walk away.

The mattresses were not particularly comfortable, and the shower of the main bathroom was rattling noisily when using the toilet.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Provided a good base for exploring the West Highlands and Oban

Very comfortable. Washing machine was a bonus. Overall property was clean and comfortable.

Ironing Board was broken. Entrance and stairway up to the flat was dingy and could do with a bit of an uplift. Paid parking between 9-6 which was limited to a max of stay of two hours was inconvenient in terms of having to ensure the car was moved after two hours.

Sunny happy apartment in center of town

Bright sunny loft apartment. Kitchen well supplied. We appreciated doing laundry!

Beware: parking is NOT included with this apartment. There was metered street parking out front and a Tesco parking lot nearby. We were unable to secure a long term parking spot so we had to move our car around all weekend. So my memory of Oban will be about moving our car and not much about the town. Apartment was great though. I think it should be clearer on Booking as we always filter for parking.

Disappointing

Location

The front door and entrance was awful walls were dirty and the stone steps to the 3rd floor was like entering a medieval castle! Only 2hrs street parking. Not really a sea view as described. Very disappointing. There should be a warning statement in the Booking.com description...

It was ok

Good kitchen, main bathroom. And location good. Lounge was good.

Washing left in dryer on arrival. Fridge not cleaned out.the bedding was not clean , old pillows ,stained sheet very old needs updating with clean crisp sheets and new pillows. On arrival no sign Argyll apt on door just number so hard to find. The entrance was awful needs cleaning , so uninviting. Main thing Was not happy with bedding at all.

Do not stay here. Visible mold in the apartment.

The location was good and as described.

The building was really old and almost felt like it was abandoned. When entering we couldn't find where to turn the lights on so we had to climb up three flights of stairs with our suitcases and three kids using our phones. Before entering the apartment we could smell mold/mildew and when opening the door the smell was overwhelming. The bathrooms had visible mold on the ceilings. (Our youngest son is asthmatic, so that was a BIG problem for us.) There were five of us and only four towels. Old bedding. So, so beds. We were completely let down by this property with all the glowing reviews! Normally the listings on Booking.com are represented by the reviews. Not this time, sadly.

We had beautiful sunshine but dreaded coming back each night as the climb was exhausting

We were told late in the booking that this was a loft, the entrance was smelly and and for an 80 year old to climb 49 steps, some with no rail was not acceptable. Apartment was as in brochure.

Great location it was for me

Mallory, the woman who takes care of the apartment was very helpful. She helped me with parking and answered any questions I had. The apartment was great. It was a nice space and had a great kitchen.

The only thing I didn't like was walking up all the stairs to get to the apartment.

The stairs up to the top were quite steep, and there was no hand rail for the last part. This made it quite difficult carrying luggage up and down.

The location was perfect, close to the beautiful waterfront and also to a supermarket and local restaurants. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equiped. There was even a brand new baby chair for our son. The communication with Mallory was very easy. We'll sure try to come back!

Excellent place, superclean, once you are in.

Location, cleanliness, layout, decor, it all really work very very well. Comfortable too and the en suite a bonus. Fantastic that you can make use of full kitchen facilities and provisions are available for a one night stay before ferry was great. No need to buy tea and milk!! Parked outside too after six was free. Thoroughly recommend, perhaps a little expensive for multiple nights, depends on your family set up really. But its a really nice find and i would go back....

Only glitch? Difficulty accessing key box, had to call owner through booking.com. the PIN code we had been given on the app was not the same as the one given verbally over phone, got in after owner called back in five ish minutes of a slghtly anxious wait.

Lovely flat!

The flat was lovely, very well supplied with everything one might need. It was particularly nice to find both coffee and milk there after arriving late at night following a long journey. It's a wonderful airy flat, and very comfortable. It was also very quiet but also close to the centre of town and the ferries. The host was very helpful.

Only a couple of very minor things, the lockbox was a bit difficult to reach and open (for small people with small hands!) and we could have done with somewhere to put things in the bathroom (i.e. shelf or cupboard). However these aspects were not important and we were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.
