Spacious, central, with all the comforts of home (and then some!)

This rental was really spacious, charming, and beautiful. It had absolutely everything you could need... a super well-stocked kitchen, tons of fridge and freezer space, plenty of linens and loo roll. Even lots of books, games, and kids' toys (my kids didn't want to leave!) Gorgeous views of the harbour, and centrally located to restaurants, shops, and the ferry terminal. We had a miscommunication about an extra ammenity we had requested, and the host took immediate action to resolve it for us within the hour. I'd recommend this place to any larger group or family looking for a lovely place to stay in Oban!

There's no parking included and there are a lot of steps to get to the unit. However this is clearly indicated throughout the listing (even with photos!) so one can't say they didn't know what to expect, and the host provides really clear and helpful instructions for many different parking options nearby.

We wanted a large place with a harbor view that was in an excellent location and this place was both!

The location was excellent! The apartment was big and we loved having a washer and dryer. The views out the front were amazing.

We wanted a place with a balcony but you have to crawl out the window to get to it. It was very difficult. There are also 78 stairs to get up to the apartment. No elevator. It was also listed as having air conditioning but the property book said to open the windows. We did so but the back bedroom has pigeons living under the window seal that we did not know about. One almost got in the apartment.

Beautiful location with amazing view of the water. Very nicely decorated and lots of extras like nice coffee machine and well equipped kitchen etc.

Only negative which isn’t really, just a fact of the location. There are plenty of stairs to reach the flat on top floor. Probably not ideal for the less mobile.

The location was un believable! The space was more than enough! Very comfortable! Hosts were amazing. We locked ourselves out by accident and within the hour everything was settled.

The apartment was in a dirty, unkempt condition and probably not cleaned in advance. Despite the request to fix this, the bathroom (e.g. foreign hair everywhere, toothpaste splashes on the mirror), the kitchen appliances (e.g. dirty stove and toaster) remained dirty. The furniture was old and thrown together, which wouldn't have been a problem if it was clean. For people who have problems with stairs, very difficult to access because the apartment is very high.

Really comfortable and so well equipped. Actuallu the most well equipped apartment I have stayed at and we really appreciated the provisions. iBeautiful views and host had thought of all needs. Great location for boats to Islands and buses and trains. Would definitely use it again.

The view, the location, the decor

Three steep flights of stairs was hard work for my elderly parents, we couldn't get the WiFi to work, the power socket in the hall didn't seem to be working so the router could not power on. There was bed linen drying in the bedrooms and no dry linen available for the couch.

Great large flat in perfect location.

Location overlooking main pier with views across to Mull was superb. The flat was large, spotlessly clean with everything we required and more. The beds were very comfortable and the shower/bath excellent. There were 5 adults in our group and all had the same opinion about the accommodation being an excellent choice and so close to main tourist attractions as well as to shops, bars and restaurants.The flat is traditionally furnished which is in keeping with the period nature of the building but cooking and kitchen equipment were all reliable, the furniture comfortable and plentiful. Wi-Fi was excellent and TV had great channels. The host was in frequent and helpful contact and gave us early access which was much appreciated. Great stay all round. Highly recommend the facility.

The walk to the top floor of the building to access the flat kept us on our toes 😂but we knew this before we arrived, so no surprise there. Unfortunately access to the small outside balcony wasn’t possible as the sash window was to be repaired the following week.A helpful written note beside the window advised of this. Whilst it didn’t detract from the quality of our stay much, it would have been nice. These things happen.

Extremely disappointing.

The living area was spacious and warm. The bedrooms were spacious.

I don’t want to be disrespectful to what is clearly someone’s home, but overall the property is worn and unclean and the building is grungy. There are 80 steps from the street to the door so it was extremely difficult to get our heavy suitcases up 7 flights of stairs. There were no instructions. There were personal items in the bathroom. We found a dirty fork and spoon in the drawer so had to wash all the cutlery before we felt comfortable using it. A notice proclaiming cleaning procedures urged guests to keep things clean but when we eventually found a dustpan and brush it was disgusting. The balcony is inaccessible and decrepit….. I could go on, but suffice to say that this is a substandard property unworthy of Booking.com

Cosy central flat in Oban

The flat was super cosy and we had the wonderful view of the port and sunset through the sitting room window. hardly 5 minutes from numerous restaurants. and same for the ferry to Mull. we had a fab stay! thank you.

Perfect couple of days in Oban

The apartment was spacious, clean and everything we were looking for in our short stay in Oban. Even with it being on the Main Street it was very quiet and the view from the balcony was beautiful. We would love to stay here again.

As we went as 6 adults it meant 2 of us had to sleep on the small single beds - these are more designed for children. I thought maybe a different mattress could make it better.However it was still a comfortable stay and would still come back.
