Dungallan Country House - a jewel in Oban's crown.

A beautiful, well appointed house with happy, smiley staff who were always willing to help make your stay as comfortable and as pleasurable as possible! We combined business with pleasure and Dungallan Country House was definitely the 'pleasure'. We will be back again!

The beautiful home in a wonderful location. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The coloured outside lights. They aren’t in keeping with the elegance of the property, and are disruptive to people whose rooms overlook them, as you have to shut the curtains to get any sleep.

Everything! The staff was super friendly and helpful! Declan the bartender was amazing! He had great recommendations on whiskey selections. We loved that we could easily walk into town. Our host was super helpful on ideas for things to do. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in the UK and the haggis was so tasty! The room was beautiful as was the gorgeous bathroom with claw foot tub and separate shower. Took a nice relaxing tub. House was super clean. Loved sitting and having a drink in the library and the bar area overlooking the bay! Incredible setting!

Perfectly located, within walking distance of Oban town restaurants and the ferry port to the Isles. Stunning views over the bay from the immaculate and character property. Our room was extremely comfortable, every facility one could want and all interiors were of the highest quality and standard. Staff were professional, friendly and efficient. Wonderfully stocked bar open until 11pm. Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of freshly cooked options. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent stay in a very comfortable hotel

Lovely historic building that has been beautifully converted into a very comfortable hotel. The lounge, bar area and library were spacious and welcoming with lovely views over the coastline. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a good view, comfortable bed and a good shower. Extras such as bath robes, fresh milk and bottled water in fridge and ground coffee and cafetier were appreciated. The staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great.

It was everything you could hope for in a bed and breakfast.

Excellent breakfast. Lots of choices. The rooms were very comfortable with spacious bathroom. There was a comfortable lounge with a very, very nice selection of whiskies. It was a short walk into Oban, though the walk back did require a small climb at the end. But, overall, I would not hesitate to come back!

Great location, great views over Oban, lovely comfortable surroundings, library chairs were great, good selection of books, nice quiet place to relax. Shower was great. Kim was excellent, helped us with our bags up some quite steep stairs to our room, very professional. Decklen (hope the spelling is right 🤦‍♀️) the barman was great, gave us a good recommendation for tea, he had just the right amount of interaction, when to engage with us and when to leave us on our own. Recommend and will stay again.

This place is magical! The view from the garden is absolutely wonderful, making it super nice to sit outside. The rooms are really well done and comfortable. The position was stunning, the hotel was very clean and we liked the spirit old fashioned style.

We had the suite on ground floor, inside was very nice but our windows was just looking the sitting area outside without privacy. It was really warm inside but the windows cannot be opened.
