The apartment was a good size and the bed comfy.

The balcony was not as big as pictured and the room did not have a river view but a car park. There was no a/c in the apartment and it was about 25-30 degrees! There was a large a/c unit outside on the ground level (for public areas) which made a terrible noise all the time so you couldn’t have the windows open or enjoy the small balcony. Had to ask for a hairdryer and the kitchen area had hardly any facilities ie/no sharp knives, chopping board, bottle opener. This is actually a retirement home that rents out some rooms. The pool was only open a couple of hours a day so we didn’t get to use it. I asked for a different room but was told no other rooms were free. It was really hot but no sun loungers outside just a couple of hard benches. Also the large shower extractor fell off the wall which we were very lucky we weren’t in there at the time. The noise of the main road is very bad too, a popular route for loud emergency services.

The apartments were supposed to be next door, but actually at least they were on the same floor. The restaurant was closed, but when booking 8 checked and it was supposed to be open. However, the woman who was on reception was brilliant. She got us pasta pots to reheat in the rooms, and a beer each. She even added some snacks for us! Very helpful!

The entrance was not easy, but the woman on reception really helped and let us park right outside. The fact that the restaurant was closed was not great.

I wish we could give a negative number! Avoid at all cost! First, we had no hot water during the evening when we stayed. The woman at front desk, when asked if we could move to a different room, shrugged her shoulders. At 8:30pm! Like a French caricature... truly! The next day they gave me a letter that confirmed the situation. A broken pipe meant no heat or hot water. In this letter they implied a refund. They told Booking.com the same. Six days later they sent a message. They lied. They will give us a discount for another stay! I would NEVER stay at these businesses. These are SENIOR CITIZEN homes, not legitimate places to stay. As a guest, we cannot relax in the lobby because every table was filled with seniors. As for them, there is no separation between transient guests and the residents. If these were my parents/mom I'd be upset that they are cavalier about safety. A cute senior lady was taken aback when my husband stepped off the elevator. Breakfast was to be provided. When checking in, you must check off what you want for breakfast. One cup of coffee and don't forget the sugar. It is delivered on a tray. IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS A HOSPITAL! The business admits it's only about money... did a resident recently die in the flat that we stayed in? They give pages of rules including the mandate that transients take garbage downstairs. One rule said "towels are provided, not offered." I asked what this meant, and they said their transient guests stole towels! Interesting considering the business name is embroidered on each towel. They also featured jack-hammering first thing in the morning. Basically, if you respect seniors and their safety, avoid the DOMITYS chain. At a minimum they could separate residents and transient guests, but they don't. They are greedy for money. No service for guests, no concern for residents.

Modern facilities, clean

Our apartment was above the laundry, we assume. So we heard the washing machine spinning and early in the morning there was noise from machinery or carts outside. Not sure, but it went on for a bit. Obviously, this only applied to.our apartment. We left a charger and fancy adaptor and despite writing as soon as we realised, the items were never found. Sad to see that the employees consider taking someone else's property doable.

Clean, comfortable & parking was easy

It is advertised as a hotel, but it is rooms being let out from a retirement home/ senior living complex. Not a hotel. No proper bar to drink & relax.

The room was fantastic and the breakfast was ready and waiting for us in the bar area as we'd booked. We knew from the reviews that the apartment is in an independent living complex but it's not super clear on the website. That said it was lovely to have a chat and a smile with the residents there.

The only thing we'd say is that it was rather tight getting our Audi estate in and out of the carpark but it was secure so we are happy!

Excellent apartment and spotlessly clean. Only did one overnight whilst travelling through France but would stay again.

Great stop over on the way back to Calais. Beautifully spacious apartment, immaculately clean and with all the necessary utensils. It was so nice we ended up cooking in rather than going out for tea! Large bathroom, airy open plan kitchen/dining room/sitting room with table, sofa and TV, plus very comfortable bedroom. Great place to relax the night before/after a ferry crossing. Easy to find and felt very secure (the apartment is part of an assisted living facility but just feels like any other hotel). Couldn’t recommend more!

The location of our apartment was perfect for popping into Arres. The apartment itself was incredible it was spacious, clean, and had everything that we required. Staff were super friendly, polite and attentive to our needs. However it would be advisable that the apartment building is not for younger clientele, as we were surprised at the age of residents who lived there. However there was a great swimming pool facilities and free parking which was a great bonus.

Apartments face a busy road so you do experience some noise.

The apartment is modern and spacious, with a big bathroom and shower. The shower had good pressure. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were thick. It had a small balcony but it does face the road and the door only opened a little because it was jammed on the floor. The parking was very useful and secure.. The pool was really nice to use and it even has some bubble jets. Although it is a retirement home, the staff and guests are all really friendly and helpful and want to chat. For a one night stay it worked really well.

The apartment seemed really clean but pur feet got quite dirty walking around bare foot so the floor had not been cleaned. Everywhere else seemed clean. They have removed a lot of the cooking equipment from the apartment due to thefts. It said to ask reception, when we did they had no extra cooking equipment, the receptionist tried to find a couple of bits for us but it made cooking difficult. Not a good place to stay if you want to cook. The sauna was broken and it looked long term, we had not been told that was the case and were disappointed about it.

The helpful receptionist and the apartment itself was very nice. The free parking under the property. The concept; hotel apartments in the same place as the Pensioners accommodation :-)

The breakfast was basic - no complaints about it, however, as it was very cheap! We asked for breakfast in our apartment and it was a bit late arriving - in the long run it was not an issue but at the time it was slightly annoying. Had we known this we would have eaten in the 'bar/restaurant' area. The bathroom could have benefited from a more deep clean (room 213).

Heard via email a few hours before arrival that pool & sauna were shut. Unused rooms in old people’s home. Not awful for us but could be scary for some! Nothing open after 8pm.

Great find. We had a lovely 1 bed apartment in the complex, which is a residential home, but what a great idea! With secure parking and close to the main square of arras, highly recommend! Oh, and unless you try to sleep during the day, with the windows open, the road is not an issue, it was all quiet by 9 pm.

It should be advertised as a Retirement Residence. Our apartment was roadside which was very noisy. There was no air conditioning so very warm and we couldn’t have the windows open because of the noise from the road!

Lovely apartment and so easy to find. Super clean. Staff are great. Just a short walk to bars and restaurants. Couldn't fault it
