Great location comfortable stay and fabulous breakfast

Loved the location and size of the room and the nice Christmas touch especially the lights in the hallways. The rooms were well equipped and had a kettle and hairdryer and bathroom had toiletries and the bed was comfortable

Great hotel near centre of Arras

Good central location

Well located and underground parking in a public car park under the hotel. You had to pay the hotel for parking at a reduced rate. The room was pleasant comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good and plentiful.

Everything was as expected.

Charge for parking. We were informed it would be €12 for underground hotel parking, although I had requested parking to be included when booking. Advised not to park in the Public car park behind Hotel as it was municipal parking and we would be charged €20 so I would be receiving a discount by using Hotel car park. As it happened for reasons of sat nav direction I ended up back in Municipal parking and was charged only €5 for the entire stay. Also there was no restaurant in the hotel for guests to have a proper meal only titbits/snacks not good enough for travellers after a long journey from Germany. Also there is a terrible odour either from sewers or in the building hard to tell its origins!

Thoroughly enjoyable with first class breakfast.

Location was very good .....10 mins walk to main squares in town. Room was very good with clean comfy beds and towels were changed each day. Walk in shower was very pleasant.

Difficult to find car park under hotel due to road closure. Some confusion about car parking ticket. We did not realise it had to be verified at reception before going down to the car park.On one occasion the ticket machine did not accept the ticket so we had to ask the attendant to open the barrier.

It was a bit awkward getting to the car park due to one way system and roadworks.

As mentioned not lhing to do with Holiday Inn but the guests should be very careful here

Good standard International Hotel in great location

Hotel was typical of a Holiday Inn Express. Comfortable, clean and with a good bar and breakfast. Location for the town Squares of Arras are good to by foot.

Parking for our motorcycles was free (cars charged) but the parking whilst feeling pretty secure is underground in a car park open to the public, whilst Holiday Inn (and the Mercure Hotel) have designated areas it does mean I don't see it as 'on-site private' (and it may not be they advertise it as so, just making it clear). There is access to the hotel direct from the garage by lift though

Bed was comfortable.

I couldnt say this hotel was that dog friendly. When we arrived the staff on duty were not that helpful and shoved a dog policy under my nose. Where breakfast is concerned, they told us dogs are not allowed in the dining room and cannot stay in the room on their own. No way would I have left my dog in the dark, dingy underground car park while we were eating. However, the lady on duty the following morning was more than helpful. She explained that a party of schoolchildren were in and if they hadnt been there we could have taken our dog in. She told us to get breakfast and take it to our room. I dont know why the evening staff couldn't have explained this.

Excellent for a short stay, close to Arras city center.

Spacious rooms, which were cleaned on a daily basis. The beds were comfortable. We slept very well. The bathroom had everything one would need for a short (3 night) stay and in particular the shower was excellent. The staff was very friendly and supportive. It was definitely a plus to us they all spoke english. Parking facility below the hotel was great and easily accessible. We traveled on motorcycles and we could park for free. The hotel is located just a 5-7 minutes walk from city center. Two large squares, connected by a pedestrian's area and surrounded by beautiful buildings was a nice surprise.

We selected the hotel based on positive comments about the breakfast. It was not bad at all - for example, fresh croissants every day! - but we would have appreciated it more if there was more to chose between different types of bread and sandwich toppings.

WW1 Road Trip to Arras

Clean, tidy, well laid out. Helpful friendly staff. Rooms kept clean and bed made up. Breakfast buffet very good.

Kettle in the room didn't work properly and the way it is fixed to the surface meant it was difficult to pick up. More parking spaces for motorbikes needed in the municipal car park. Main lights in the room not very bright. Couldn't switch off air con.

Nice hotel in a good location

It would be great if they provided clearer instructions for accessing the car park and the layout of the car park. I drove around Arrass twice as I missed it first time round the one way whilst following directions to the hotel which is further on round the one way system. Also I parked at the furthest point from the HIE access as the layout of the car park isn't explained. Also grieved to see that rooms were going at a third of the price for turn ups one the day. Apparently the Booking.com rate is a premium rate. Didn't get any Genius benefits and the breakfast (which was good) is not optional.

Fell short of the mark for the price.

Staff were lovely but the hotel itself was not as we hoped. The room was small and very stuffy and warm- had to go to reception for a fan. If you’re a couple needing a basic place to sleep it fits the bill. For a family it wasn’t ideal.

The stuffy room! The window didn’t really open and there was no way of getting g cold air in to the room, it wasn’t even that warm outside but it was very stuffy. Had to ask reception for a fan (they offered me two for the room so clearly used to being asked for them!) felt expensive for what you got….

Staff on reception were incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgeable, good first impression. Room was very comfortable, plenty of room for the family and beds were great. Good value for money. Good location as we could walk to centre of Arras in 10 minutes. Good value for money with breakfast included.

Car park was hard to find due to a road closure. Initially was directed by sat nav to a car park at the rear of the hotel which doesn't create a great first impression.

Excellent stay in Arras

We’ve now stayed at this hotel twice as we liked it so much. Great location for Arras and plenty of parking. We could get our car into the car park with a roof box on. Accommodation was good, friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Excellent value

The staff were excellent on check in, even though it was 10:30 at night and we were very tired. The night desk clerk cooked a pizza for us and was excellent with our overly excited 5 year old.

Not the hotels fault but our sat nav directed to the middle of a housing estate and we only found the hotel by inputting the street address, not the postcode.
