Good stopover

Stayed one night on the way home to the UK. All was very good, room spacious and bed comfortable. Arras was interesting with good nighttime vibe.

Good Hotel, would certainly rebook if we returned to Arras.

Lovely Hotel, well placed in Arras, clean rooms and a nice lot of space on the ground floor lobby areas. Nice modern bathroom with lovely big shower.

I think the Hotel needs to state the name of the car park which is the ‘centre European’ on Marechal Foch. In it’s description it says we have underground parking which is fine, but if like us you’ve been travelling by car around Europe for a few weeks you need proper addresses and street names, parking is the one thing you need clarity on as it can be quite stressful on arriving at a destination after a long drive and not being sure where you can park.

Excellent hotel with professional staff across all areas.

The Mercure staff were extremely helpful & polite. Reception staff a pleasure & provided assistance on evening meal, places to visit/shop & lent us an umbrella as the weather wasn’t ideal. Overall the hotel bar area, bedrooms and lobby areas were clean, modern & pleasantly staffed. Would I recommend it …. yes, would I stay here again - definitely 👍😀

Only slight issue was that the hotel had roadworks outside which meant a slight detour for parking..

Convenient, comfortable and great value for money.

The location was excellent. It was a pity roadworks were being carried out right outside the front door but that can’t be helped. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic. They spoke good English but were tolerant with my attempt at French. They were extremely helpful and willingly gave advice and their local knowledge. One, who I think was called Aora, or something similar, was outstanding. The bedroom was clean and of a reasonable size and the bed was very comfortable. There was milk with the coffee but not quite sure what sort it was! We didn’t eat at the hotel. We ate out at night and thought 19 euros for a continental breakfast was a bit too pricey. It was nice having a free charger for my car. All in all the hotel was excellent and I would definitely return and definitely recommend it to my friends.

My only negative was the price of the breakfast.

Good location in Arras

The receptionist that checked us in was very friendly and helpful with giving us dining and sightseeing recommendations. The room was ready despite us arriving early. Suggestion would be to offer a Nespresso machine for coffee in the room. Pillows could also be better and a separate shampoo instead of the body wash and shampoo combined dispenser, would have been nice.

Roadworks right outside hotel. Made for very poor access & tricky with luggage. Car park we were told to use was shut because of roadworks. Would have been good to be warned of all the upheaval on their website

The hotel is lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable. The fridge with complimentary drinks and the slippers to take home were a nice addition that we enjoyed.

Comfortable, affordable hotel.

Location was good. The room was lovely with a nice big comfy bed. The mini bar was stocked with water and orange juice we could use, and the parking at the hotel was great. There was a lift straight up to the hotel so we didn't have to lug our luggage up stairs. The staff were lovely and accommodating, especially the staff in the restaurant when we went for dinner. The food was delicious and very reasonable.

There were major road works going on outside the hotel so it was a bit of a faff finding the parking, but when we did it was all good. The view onto a car park wasn't the nicest thing to see first thing in the morning, but that's just me being a bit pendantic.

We would stay again.

The hotel is well located and close to the centre square. The staff were great and tried very hard to assist us. The meals in the restaurant were delicious and the service in the bar from Tiffany was exceptional.

We did not know that there was construction at the front of the hotel and had to access the hotel to find out where to park. Once we were instructed where we should go it was easy. We changed rooms as we found two bugs in our bathroom. The staff were quick with giving us another room but we had to move ourselves.

Great hotel in a great location.

Parking facilities were very good which was important to us for this visit. Location of hotel is great - about a 5 minute walk to the town centre which has several decent bars and restaurants and a beautiful Cathedral. Rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable.

There were quite significant roadworks going on directly outside the hotel. There is nothing the hotel could do about this and it is no reflection on our experience of the hotel, but was a negative point.

Good central location with car parking

The room was fine.

Due to town music/beer festival there was a lot of music noise from outside plus approx. one and half hours of emergency services sirens from 0130 to 0300 hrs. If we had been informed of this festival before our visit we would have chosen a different venue. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been a bonus.

Room was a decent size. Bathroom very clean

Carpet looked old, beds were very hard. Carpark not overly secure as it’s not totally for the hotel. Last year there was even a resident vagrant sleeping on level one! The food at the restaurant was absolutely shocking! Terrible. I had a burger, which I ate half of, then got a nasty smell, put it to my nose, and it smelt bad. So left the rest. Husband had a wok prawns, which was a pasta spaghetti type dish. There was one single prawn in this meal, and it was nearly cold, our friends also had poor meals. Will never eat here again! Absolutely rubbish and expensive!

Great hotel

The hotel was situated near the centre within easy access to bars, shops and restaurants. It was bright and airy and the rooms clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The choice of fruit, cereals, nuts and seeds, yoghurts, bread, pastries as well as bacon, sausages and eggs was amazing. It was all fresh and very tasty. The car pack has direct access to the hotel. I would stay there again.

The room was large and comfortable. The location is outstanding. The parking is easy to access and you get a discount on it.

The toilet and shower were in separate rooms, which was good as I was with my family. However, the toilet felt a bit claustrophobic as it was small and without a window. There was a bit of noise from doors shutting in the neighbouring rooms, but this wasn't too much of a problem.

Room . Faced very noisy street. No choice in pillows. Luckily I travel with my own. AC did t work and wasn’t fixed next day so they agreed to change my room. Not sure why I was given a room that faced a noisy street when others were available
