Calm and green

Masmara Pererenan Bali is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Very helpfull staff 🤍 Lovely rooms by the pool, great atmosphere, and a perfect spot close to Pererenan beach. I’ve been coming back here year after year and always enjoy my stay.

A perfect and tranquil stay on a mother and daughter trip

Lovely pool view room opening onto gorgeous little garden and pool. It is as in pictures. The room was spacious and very comfortable with decor of natural wood and stone. Beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a great restaurant to the front of the property, Kilo, where we had fabulous breakfasts which we charged to the room. A word on location, it is about 2 minutes walk from Pererenan beach and the area has a lovely chilled vibe, being an area where people come to surf rather than a purpose built seaside resort.

Close to the beach and restaurants

The hotel is walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. The bed was comfortable, beach towels were provided and we had a large bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging a moped and a taxi for us.

We had some trouble with local wildlife in the room: a huge spider, a gecko, and ants marching through a gap in the sliding door.

Friendly staff, quiet and relaxing location

The staff are absolutely amazing – so helpful, attentive, and warm. They even offered help without me asking and handled everything perfectly (for example, repairing my suitcase). They were also incredibly kind with my child. I felt very comfortable – every need was met. The location is on a quiet street, just a short walk to the beach, with room service available and a lovely pool and ice bath.

During breakfast, the music was quite loud; even after asking several times, it was only turned down slightly. For guests who are sensitive to sensory input, this can feel overwhelming first thing in the morning. A mosquito net over the bed would be very helpful as an effective form of protection. I would also love to see more Indonesian dishes on the menu of the restaurant.

Lovely place a bit more removed

Breakfast was very good, enjoyed how complete it was. Fresh fruit, a drink, amazing coffee and good main choices. Very nice!

Paying extra for alternativem milk was a bit extreme. When you charge twice as much as a regular Australian shop, you missed the point. For all the money we spent, you could've thrown in $5 worth of alternative milk choices. The place was pricey though, so don't count on a full restaurant. Right next door was very busy, this place was empty.

Stylish and Peaceful Stay in Canggu – Just Wish the Suite Had Two Bathrooms

We had a lovely stay at Masmara Canggu. The atmosphere is peaceful, the design is minimal yet stylish, and the location is perfect just a short walk to the beach and many good cafes. The staff were friendly, responsive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Our suite was beautifully decorated and very spacious, making it perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only thing to note is that the suite we booked had just one bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient at times for a group. Other than that, everything was great. Would definitely recommend it for couples or small families looking for a calm and tasteful place to stay in Canggu.

Amazing

Just stayed at Masmara Resort and it was nothing short of amazing. Agus and Pandy were so nice and accommodating from the moment we arrived. The location where the resort is located is peaceful and still has that Bali charm without the traffic and developments. So close to the beach. The rooms are clean. The service fantastic. We had the two bedroom villa and had the whole floor to ourselves. Was peaceful and grounding. Can’t wait to come back.

rooms were spacious, restaurant menu was fantastic and they were very accommodating to provide off menu items when I was unwell. All staff were extremely friendly and wanting to help wherever they could and place was extremely clean

A perfect start to our Bali trip

Absolutely loved our stay at Masmara. We arrived late at night and the security team were very helpful getting us checked in and shown around. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was clean, very comfortable and secure. It had everything we needed and the terrace with loungers and seating was a lovely bonus! The staff were so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to help with some birthday celebrations. Loved the quiet pool area and had some great food/drinks from the restaurant on site. The location was good - walking distance to a few cafes/restaurants and the beach and a short scooter ride to the centre of Canggu for more options.

Perfect few days in a lovely boutique hotel within walking distance of the beach.

Small boutique hotel in a quiet location, minutes from the beach with lots of good restaurants and coffee places nearby. Canggu, Tanah Lot, Seminyak easily accessible Room with terrace leading onto the gardens and perfectly sized swimming pool. Large room with comfortable bed, ample bottle water, tea, good quality toiletries and pool towels provided. Staff very friendly and more than helpful. Restaurant on site servicing very good food and beverages. They even made gluten free bread for me during my stay and adapted meals so I could enjoy more choice on the menu . We had a very relaxing time at the Masmara Resort, met travellers who had been numerous times before and would 100% recommend. Definitely would stay again if we are ever back in the area. 🙏

Nothing about the hotel - it was lovely. Adding body lotion to the toiletries would be a plus . The only negative comment we had was we ordered some massages through the reception and really wouldn’t recommend as the girls were chatting to each other and at one point on their phones massaging with one hand 🥴. Perhaps a change of provider as plenty of options around for massages.

Lovely, quiet part of Canggu!

We had a lovely stay at Masmara. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help you during your stay, they are so friendly and attentive. Shout out to Pandy who was so warm and bubbly. The room was spacious but could do with some new paint, some of the walls are a little done and mouldy. The bed was firm which wasn’t the most comfortable by the end of the stay. The pool looks much bigger in the pictures and there are only about 6-7 sun loungers. This wasn’t an issue for us as it was usually quiet but could be if the hotel has more guests in peak season. Lots of lovely restaurants around and a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Perfect stay.

Very Good Service. Everyone (hotel & restaurant) was so friendly to us and especially to our little son. Special thanks to Mandge and the whole staff. The location of the villas is perfect too. Not to far away from the Canggu main area but far enough to be quiet. Thanks.

Comfortable stay in a nice but limited hotel.

Breakfast was excellent everyday - choice & quality. Restaurant in general was great. Two bedroom apartment was excellent, especially with children, the terrace was great. A peaceful uncrowded haven. Staff were lovely & so very helpful.

Disappointed in location & nearby beach. The property was very nice but I wouldn't call it a resort given it didn't have much in the way of facilities - no spa, no gym, pool a bit small.

Relax and recharge

Very clean, lots of space, lovely pool area. I felt very at ease while staying here. The beach is close by with a lot of nice bars. Also there are good restaurants around (I can recommend RiZE).

Lovely reaort

Lovely small resort with friendly staff. Breakfast was high-end, exceptionally good, served at restaurant in front of the hotel.

Construction work along the street, not as peaceful and quiet as expected.. the street is clearly in developing phase Construction going on on the other side of the hotel as well. Noise didn't reach the hotel area but having breakfast outside was noisy.

The best people in the world

The staff are the most incredible people, they went above and beyond for us. The place is small but quite nice, easy access to the beach. (Could use a little back ally so you don’t have to walk through the restaurant every time you go out.) Rooms were great but it did feel a little bit damp. Could just be because it is wet season. Overall very happy experience. Pool was nice!

It’s a small but lovely property. We had the larger room which was located on the 2nd floor. This provided lots of light and a very nice view. The breakfast was really nice. The proximity to the beach was also a plus point.

The 3 bedroom suite only had one toilet and one shower room. It was a little inconvenient with 5 people staying in the same place. The pool was a little small and the daybeds filled up pretty fast. Otherwise it was well maintained and lovely to swim in.

Wonderful Hotel, Excellent Service!

The room was HUGE, tastefully decorated, modern, spotlessly clean and had a comfortable verandah overlooking the pool. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel restaurant has a good menu, lots of healthy options and the chef will make any adjustments that might be necessary for dietary requirements or just preferences. I had leftover food from a cooking class (MEXX Cooking School - it was terrific - I highly recommend it) and the chef stored the food in the kitchen fridge and re-heated and plated the food for a later meal - outstanding service! I arranged an airport-hotel transfer through Booking.com. It was easy to arrange and the communication from the hotel was excellent.

This is not a criticism of the hotel at all, but travellers should be aware that it can take a long time to travel from the airport to the hotel due to traffic. Athough the actual distance from the airport is quite short, I arrived in Bali at peak afternoon traffic time and it took 1 hour 40 minutes to get to the hotel, although a transfer had been pre-arranged at a set price.
