Comfortable apartment, great for our multi-generational family. Plenty of seating in kitchen and living room to gather comfortably. Bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, well lit, but dark when you want to sleep. I slept so well! Excellent location in central neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. It's easy to catch a cab a short walk away, and there is a great supermarket in the nearby department store. Neighborhood is very walkable. Host was very easy to communicate with, and able to flex our meeting time, as our train was delayed about two hours from schedule. I would stay here again next time I get to Madrid with my family!
There are some tricks with the plumbing-- slow drains in the sinks, and shower doesn't move enough water to get/stay hot (at least in the back bathroom). Once we figured out those minor things, we had a fantastic stay.
