Carretas Apartments

Great location to the Sol Train Station and the proximity to the tourists area. There were a lot of construction in the area which made it a little confusing when we arrived, but we figured it out very quickly. Once we got to the apartment, the instructions provided were very clear and easy to understand. The apartment was perfect for my family of five. I really like the two bedrooms and one and half bath. The half bath was in a tight space, but it was perfect for us. The washer in the apartment was convenient and it allowed us to wash some much needed laundry. No dryer, but there was an item which allowed us to hang our clothes in the living room to dry out. No issues. There were split unit air conditions for the two bedrooms and the living room. This was clutch as it allowed us to come back to the apartment to cool down after being out in the sun. The split AC systems were old and should be replaced soon, but it did the job so no real complaints.

No real downfall except for the second bathroom with just the toilet being tight, but it is manageable and having the additional toilet made all the difference in the world with five people. The split unit ACs will likely need to be replaced within the next 2-3 years, but they did their job and kept the entire place cool and comfortable for our entire stay.

Central location. Walking distance to everything.

Didn’t worry me but it’s gets pretty rowdy in the lane way late at night/early in the morning.

Location. Updated kitchen. Good windows muted sound from street.

The layout was awkward (long hallway from kitchen to dining table). Very small bathroom (no where to hang clothes. Only one towel rack). Small bedrooms. Had to carry suitcases up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Not ideal for an 86 year old with a heart condition.
