Exclusivo en Sol Exterior Bar Temporal

The apartment is a really good size and layout for four people. I dont think it would work well for more as the sofa bed is in the smallish livingroom which faces the busy street with fun bars and nightlife going late on. It was in a fab location, we all slept well towards the back as the street noise was far enough away. Two bathrooms worked well too and the hosts provided toilet paper, soap and shampoo and some kitchen basics like coffee which was appreciated. Location is excellent for a Madrid visit. And it's a lovely flat with a city view from a wee balcony. Stairway is traditional and 70 steps up but that was luckily fine for us.

As people have mentioned the drains smell is strong in both bathrooms because in common with a lot of Spanish properties there are no U Bends to keep the smell down. We kept the plugs in the sinks, used a mat over the shower tray and kept bathroom doors shut. Smell vanished! So dont be put off just on account of that as it can be managed. There are some items needing repaired, the tumble dryer didnt work and the machine's handle is broken, the washing m/c did work tho. Nothing too major and we have sent a full list of maintenance issues to the owners via Booking.com. It wasnt too hot when we were there, think being on third floor with only A/C in living room it could become too warm, altho all rooms have opening windows. Some dust under beds and towels and linen a bit threadbare but clean. Definitely not enough crockery and cutlery. More needed.

The property is in a great location, with lots of great bars and restaurants, but being on the third floor we didn't notice any street noise. The size and the layout of the apartment was very comfortable for 6 people. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to messages. We'd definitely stay again.

The hot water tank could have been a little bigger. We had to stagger showers in the morning and evening to make sure there was enough hot water.

No disposa d'ascensor, era una 3a planta. Olor desagradable al entrar, de les canonades.
