A wonderful stay

The hosts were absolutely fantastic, really nice people. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a nice terrace to enjoy a drink or food, with views to the sea. They also have a large deck area on the beach with sun loungers. A great place to stay on the coast of Montenegro. We will be happy to return.

Cosy hotel nest the sea

Friendly staff and extremely cosy room with sea view. Everything worked well and smootly. A la carte breakfast with tasty food (especially omelette). Free parking.

Breakfast started at 8.30 am which was a little bit too late for us because we had a long ride to Durmitor National Park.

Amazing accommodation giving great value for the money! We'll come again!

The location of the property is perfect, right next to the sea, with a private beach. Rooms are amazing - new, clean, spacious and with all amenities me might need. The hosts are very kind and helpful, serving good breakfast in their restaurant.

Since it is September they are a bit understaffed, so we had to be very patient while waiting for the service in the restaurant. Apart from that, everything was great.

Good location but some disappointments

Good location with convenient parking. Each room has its own sunbeds at the private beach. Breakfast was tasty, and the room was clean and well-maintained.

Breakfast starts only at 8:30, which was a bit late for us, as we wanted to start exploring the country early in the morning. We either had to wait or leave without eating. Another point – both in reviews and upon arrival we were told that the owner (father) would share tips about the country and maybe even help organize an excursion. However, he didn’t even come to greet us and did not seem welcoming at all. Also, we were promised packed breakfasts for our early departure at 6:00, but nothing was prepared. It wasn’t a big issue – we bought food ourselves and planned our route independently – but if something is promised, it should be delivered.

The family vibe, the breakfast, the restaurant, the beach, the overall ambiance was quiet and relaxing, and felt private compared to much of what I saw in the area. The family was so friendly and put a ton of thought inti all the details to make sure I was comfortable. They even remembered my breakfast order :)

The "main strip" was a lot busier than I expected. But it didn't affect my stay at the property!

Perfect 2 days in Herceg Novi

The owner was very kind and supportive, the room vas great, the breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent. I highly recommend it. We had some trouble finding the parking area, as the GPS did not recognize the driveway, and we also missed the hotel signs, but the owner was very kind and showed us how to get to the hotel easily.

Perfect stay in Boka Kotorska!

This place is really fantastic - interior is top notch, everything is beautifully composed. I want to emphasize everything at Barka: Accommodation smells nice, rooms have everything you need, parking is broad and accessible, breakfast is amazing, location is great (right on the sea), and the owners are really friendly, informative and helpful. Big recommendation!

Fantastic, family-run business.

Fantastic property. Super clean and modern with really comfortable beds/pillows. This is a family-run BnB and the man and his sons who run it are genuine, kind people who will go out of their way to help you. The breakfast is lovely - I asked for a vegetarian option and there was no issue. The property is located close to the road that runs between Herceg Novi and the ferry terminal of Igalo. It's easy to access if you drive, but there's also the number 1 bus that runs right past the property. The views of the bay from the cafe of the property are stunning.

A few missing facilities in the room - e.g. there was a kettle and cups, but no coffee/tea or spoons.

Amazing location, beautiful rooms, tasty breakfast and relaxing atmosphere.

The family that is running the B&B is most friendly and goes extra miles to make your stay is enjoyable as possible. Nothing is a problem, their provided advices on where to eat, what to see, best ways to travel to different destinations etc. Also the breakfast was one on the best experiences every morning. What a treat!

Everything was exceptional. The room was spacious, clean and the furniture was new and comfortable. We had a sea view from the balcony, but I think the view is clearer on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The staff was kind and friendly, very helpful when we asked for directions or places to visit.

Best trip in Montenegro thanks to Vaso, we will come back for sure

Very clean, easy to check-in, Vaso and his family are always here to help. We had a flat tire when arriving and he did everything to organize the repair with my insurance, he also provide us with all the plans for visiting the cities around, found us a car rental at very cheap price. The best !

Relaxed, family-style atmosphere

Modern, newly updated rooms with air conditioning and a balcony overlooking the ocean. Friendly staff, great location, family vibe. Beach is within a few feet. The town is great, everything is very clean! I only wish the weather was not rainy and we stayed for a longer time, so we could take advantage of sun chairs and tan a bit!

Awesome place :) Amazing people Room was completely refurbished! Everything new with very nice decorations. We stayed in a room with a balcony sea view and it was so nice ! The room wa large enough to accommodate a rollaway for our daughter leaving us still a lot of space. The king size bed was sooo comfortable Would love to stay again for a little longer :)

We stayed at Barka for 3 days, it's a nice and calm place with beautiful view. We lived in comfortable room, they have wonderful private beach that is equipped with sunbeds. The food is great, gulyash is the best lunch :) We definitely will return to Barka again, and we are grateful to the host for providing us with such an enjoyable stay.

Maybe just one moment - it would be good to have a bottle of water in the room every day.

Perfect!

We have spent a wonderful week in Montenegro, and we owe this feeling to the friendly hosts of Barka. Rooms fully equipped, very modern and stylish with outstanding view of the sea. Coffee on the balcony is a memory that will remain with us for a long time. And... a huge, comfy double bed! ;) Quiet neighborhood, nearby small shops and restaurants. Rocky beach, but with a convenient entrance to the sea, with own sunbeds reserved for the quests right next to the apartment. Breakfasts and coffee excellent. The hosts made every effort to make our stay pleasant. Breakfasts were served - European, but also domestic, traditional. Delicious! The owners themselves are very nice, helpful and openminded. Thanks to them and their advice, we have visited many amazing places in Montenegro. Definitely we recommend this place and for sure we will be back! Thank you for all. :)
