This is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms in a fabulous position in the village of Donja Lastva, about one mile from Tivat, right on the waterfront overlooking Boka Bay. Cleanliness is excellent and the reception staff speak good English and are exceedingly helpful. It is a 19th century two storey building and has no lift so this should be borne in mind for those with limited mobility. There are two restaurants in the village one of which, Punto Crudo, is connected to the hotel and provides an excellent free breakfast to hotel guests. Dinner is served from 5.00 pm and the food is of a good international standard although the menu is limited. Big Ben restaurant is about 700 metres away towards Tivat. This is a lively, noisy restaurant which should appeal to younger people. There are numerous restaurants a little further on in Tivat at various price levels and are just a short taxi ride away. There are minor inconveniences like no local taxis near the hotel (they are called to the hotel from Tivat); no snacks, just drinks, are available at the hotel between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm but the excellent breakfast should see one through the day. I recommend this hotel for those who enjoy peaceful surroundings and the ability to swim in the sea directly from the hotel quay.

Would have loved to stay longer at this cozy hotel! Super helpful and friendly staff, nice and cool room and a wonderful restaurant outside. The location just by the water is dreamy and we appreciated that it was a little bit away from all the other hotels and restaurants. Nice and calm area with a short walk to other beach bars, restaurants etc. We had to have an early check out to get to the flight and missed out on the breakfast, but they packed us three(!) generous boxes with sandwiches, pastries, chia puddings and fruit. The only negative thing that I could think of is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. But on the other hand the staff gladly helped us with our bags - so big plus for them!

Carubba was exactly as lovely as we have been thought beforehand. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was special but the portions were hugh! We could have leave the food but it was too good to leave! The room (12) was probably the best! One tiny minus concerns the small area between the sea and sun beds. It could have been cleaned daily.

The air conditioning in the room was perfect, the bed was so comfortable with incredible pillows, and the shower was really spacious. Every room has a view of the water which was breathtaking. The private beach area for hotel guests was lovely and the water was so beautiful for swimming. We stayed for four nights and dined in the restaurant every evening as the view was stunning and you are seated right on the water! The food was very high quality, highly recommend the beef cheeks and the tuna and my partner loved the octopus. Breakfast every morning was beautiful and I definitely recommend the pancakes. All of the staff were so accommodating in both the hotel and the restaurant. When they realised it had been my birthday while we stayed, they brought up an amazing bottle of sparkling wine up to the room as a complimentary gift! They were very helpful in letting us know about a bus to take a day trip to Kotor which helped us save money we would have spent on taxis. They also arranged airport transfers which were an additional cost but huge peace of mind. We would definitely stay here again and can't recommend it enough!

Unfortunately the restaurant had not yet opened however they pointed us to a few decent ones down the breakwater. The room (with deck) was excellent, clean and bed very comfortable. Washroom fully equipped and a great shower. We had breakfast included and it was both tasty and filling. We would stay again for sure.

Service at the hotel was great and staff were helpful and friendly. Bit the hotel is old and lacks lots of amenities. Something as small as facial tissue or hand lotion and as bog as a pool and hot tub was all lacking. Surprisingly the hotel charged the same as the five star hotel we stayed at in Croatia.

We spent three nights here (prolonged due to pilot strike). The hotel was beautiful, everyone working there were very serviceminded and helpful. It was so relaxing arriving here at this very small hotel after first staying in busy Kotor and in busy Petrovac. Cleaning was good, and breakfast as well. There is a small area with sunbeds assigned for the hotels guest only, witch worked well. If I should mention small details that could have been perfected, it is that we really missed being offered a second cup of coffee for breakfast (no, we didn't ask, but it didn't seem to be an offer) and that there could be some better furniture at the terrace. It has a very beautiful view, so we loved to just sit there and look at the sea, but the chairs there are not very relaxing to sit on. But - as I said - these are small details in a an overall very good stay!
