Warm and comfortable, very clean, well equipped kitchenette. Good location with ample free parking. Reasonably priced accommodation.

Sweeney Rooms are perfectly situated just a 5 minute walk from Motherwell Town centre. The property is on a main road and very easy to find. We arrived around teatime and it was already dark but the property was beautifully lit with outdoor Christmas lights and illuminated signage. The entrance hallway was warm and welcoming with a lovely, comfortable sofa and a nicely decorated Christmas tree. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. There was a small kitchenette area with a sink, kettle and microwave (no toaster) plus various cupboards with cups, glasses, plates etc. The bed was perfect for us and we slept well with no noise from outside or other guests. We also had 2 comfortable chairs and a little side table. The bedside lamps were a lovely addition because they were touch lamps which could be dimmed with 3 different settings. The lamps also had USB 2 and USB C charging points built in so this was very handy. The bathroom was very stylishly finished with high quality fittings and modern tiles. The double sized shower was very powerful and hot and had plenty of space. Overall, we thought it was good value for the quality of accommodation.

My only negatives were that the room itself was much smaller than we expected considering that we booked a luxury suite, also, there's really not much storage for clothing. We had 3 hangers in an open shelf and no drawers whatsoever. Maybe a toaster would be a good addition but there's probably health and safety reasons as to why these are not supplied. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would definitely book again when visiting family.

Traveling on business, booked this room at the last minute through Booking.com. Was such a lovely stay, wish I had arrived earlier or had the chance to spend more time, will be booking another stay very soon.

Simply that I was not able to spend more time at the property.

This was second time staying, first time we stayed in room pictured above & was fantastic. We like the cleanliness of the property & the location

We didn’t like the room we stayed in this time, it was at the very top of the house, it was very clean and had everything we needed but space. No cupboard space for clothes & wardrobe was hole in the wall, luckily I just had jeans with me. No hooks for the towels in the bathroom

Great location near to train station. Very clean. Nice decor and a really comfy king size bed. Tea coffee and sachets of milk. Bottled water. Towels nice and soft and large.

Could do with a mirror in the bedroom for drying/ styling hair.

The properly is lovely the entire apartment block is lovely, clean well designed. Parking on site was a big plus. The room was very small I was abbot surprised how small it was but I did book the smallest one so no complaints. Room was clean with comfortable bed. We had everything we needed. Great communication with the staff and very helpful.

Central heating was operated by the concierge so when we arrived room was quite cold. We were out and when we came back to the room late at night it was freezing. We called the number provided and the heating was switched on. It took time to get warm but after that room was always warm. Unfortunately probably because of the first cold night we got sick with cold. I would appreciate more hangers as there is very limited storage space and maybe some towel hooks in the bathroom.

A regular booking for hosting our engineers and clients, spacious apartments that are fully equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery. A comfortable bed and large smart tv. Bathrooms are always large with very good showers. Always spotless clean. Private off road parking is always a bonus.

We were on the top floor with a very steep staircase and we are pensioners, had to stop a multiple times getting up them

The location was a good stop off venue as we travelled North to do the NC500. Good parking, easy to find & not far from M74. Beautiful apartment, well fitted, decorated & very comfortable.

A toaster would have been useful.

Booking, Communication, and Check-In were great. Our room was spotlessly clean, as was the entrance area and stairway. Having the kitchenette was a bonus. Heating in the room was a little warm for my liking but soon rectified by adjusting the temperature valve on the radiator. Beds were comfortable for a good night's sleep. We had room 6 facing onto the main road, and with the windows shut, you could not hear any passing traffic. We could not fault the room at all. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes from the train station and buses. We were visiting the local archives,which were just round the corner. We would most definitely use The Sweeney rooms if in the area again.

The suite is beautiful. It’s absolutely spotless and well equipped.

There was only one small lamp at one side of the bed. When the big light was off it was a bit too dark. Another lamp would make it perfect 🙃. 10am check out is a wee but early too. We’ve paid for late check out both times.

Not far off motorways, exceptionally comfortable and nearby good value food ( mandarin restaurant and Wetherspoon). Well appointed with crockery, cutlery and tea, coffee etc Really powerful shower.

No staff so seemed very impersonal. Took me some time to realise the bedside lights were in fact touch operated! Drains a bit smelly.

Was a great room. Room and bathroom were comparably large to other rooms for similar price during our trip. We stayed for only one night but would have been happy to stay for more. There were groceries, fast food and essentials within a short walk. Parking was easy and available. The room offered a sink, microwave and fridge as well as kettle, cups and crockery. Would recommend this stay!

I didn't meet any staff so I can't comment however I expect they would be lovely. In the morning I noticed a couple of damp spots and water coming through the light fitting in the shower It looked like water coming from upstairs The stairs up to the first floor are very steep, not great for people with arthritic knees

It was stunning! All the little details, if I could pick it up and take it everywhere I have to stay I would.

If I had to dig deep to find an issue it would be no dressing table and so many stairs after a night out! Haha

The room was clean and comfortable. It’s in a nice location within walking distance to local shops. The parking was also convenient.

The room was on the second floor. We weren’t anticipating the stairs with our heavy suitcases filed with souvenirs and gifts. I don’t recall reading there were stairs anywhere on the advertised rooms.
