A decent hotel with friendly staff.

I found that the staff at reception and at the bar were friendly.

Could have had more staff at the bar during busy hours. Also, with many customers, breakfast was busy and things were running out.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, creating a really nice atmosphere. The breakfast was good and topped up regularly and fresh.

the sofa bed was uncomfortable for our 16year old, he said he could feel the springs through the mattress. The room was on the tight side for the sofa bed.

Really convenient place to stop over on a long drive from Manchester to the Scottish highlands . Handy and easy to get to and from the motorway . Breakfast is included in the price so it’s pretty good value for money . Nice little bar area too

There were lot of people running barefoot and in there PJs through hallway and restaurant that should be restricted. Not nice if you have breakfast or dinner and someone sitting barefoot and in pyjamas next to you

2 night stay with family

Lovely friendly staff , extra t-bags and milk given when asked. The staff kept my medication in their fridge with no issues. Comfortable beds , good for parking and close to m&ds . Value for money. Our room was cleaned after the first night which was a lovely surprise to come back into.

The shower wouldn't stay in the right position, there's not much room to get past when the pull down bed is made up .

Another pleasant stay

Pleasant professional and natural attitude of all the staff, especially Alex and Peter. Comfortable facilities within hotel.

We were allocated a room in what they call the dog corridor, with a few yappers later on at night. We know dogs bark, but surely the owners could train them enough to be able to stop it. Not sure why we were allocated there when the booking was clearly for a family. Anyway it didn't spoil the overall visit.

Found pillows hard, and radiator came on in the night (one of the hottest nights of the year) - so not a great night's sleep.

Good value hotel with pleasant helpful staff and easy access by car to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond

I have stayed here regularly over the last few years. It has proven to be a consistently good place to stay. Staff have always been pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. The lake is a great place to walk and it is ideal if you are travelling by car - 2 mins from the motorway with easy access to Glasgow, Edinburgh, the airports and both coasts.

It can get rowdy when there is a big match on in the city, as was the case with our last visit.

The stains on the carpet The pull out sofa bed was comfortable for the kids but one of them fell on to the bed hurting herself on the metal frame which sticks out from under the mattress but covered with the sheet.

They had books pool table and colouring for the kids

Rooms dirty ,, sofa bed covered in stain , walls dirty and marked , carpets in room sick stains .the room felt like a hostel but you pay for what I get I suppose never again !

Very nice team.

They could put a vacuum in the bathroom - then there wouldn't be a constant smell and the staff wouldn't have to clean it all the time, because that way the water wouldn't dry up in the bathroom after a shower
