Best Western Motherwell Centre Moorings Hotel

Good location, comfortable, clean and well maintained.

I’ll fitting mattress protector and sheet - too small, did not stay over the mattress.

Staff allowed me to access my room earlier than agreed time at no extra cost. Excellent customer service and the room was just right for what I required. Breakfast was good and I was offered more if I wanted it. Will stay again.

Bed was too hard for my liking, but room was comfortable overall

The upgrade was to a superior room and worth paying £20 extra per night. The room we had before was dated but still nice. And the upgrade just made it a lot better. Bed was so comfortable, and the walk-in shower was amazing.

Price of their breakfast. If it was cheaper, we would have gone elsewhere. Weatherspoons is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Food and portion size were very good. Staff were very good, with a special mention to Kris the restaurant manager who sorted an issue with my room.

The issues I brought to the attention of The Moorings last year were the same. Reviews for the management are obviously no more than a tick box exercise. I had a standard room as I had a dog. In these rooms the TV screen cannot be viewed from the bed. The hanging space is for tall people and using the full length mirror requires moving heavy furniture. In the room I had the switch on the wall light did not work but it was worked by another switch. Good if you realised this as otherwise there was no mention of it. Kris gave me another room but it was on the first floor. Not exactly ideal for an elderly person on their own with a dog, its bed, a case and bags of Christmas gifts. Kris helped me move and I had to make 3 careful journeys downstairs when I left. I realise that The Moorings will get most of their custom from business travellers whose stay will be paid for them do don't care. My stay was paid from my pension and I DO care when my concerns are ignored and my repeat business is taken for granted. How much really would it cost to replace the brackets for the inaccessible tvs with ones that swung out. I also received a scam text a couple of weeks before my stay.

Staff were very warm and welcoming, great breakfast.

The room was very dated, shower room very small, with discoloration behind the toilet, and damp marks on the ceiling, floor boards we're very creaky, and there was like a constant noise, think it was coming from the radiator. I got room service, which was bang average, but suited at the time, as I had work to do.

Spacious twin room (in attic on second floor) with comfortable beds, nice en-suite and the luxury of a dressing/clothes hanging area just inside the door. No creaking floorboards, heard no noise from above or through party walls (if any), and practically none from the busy main road. Staff were very helpful, and even accepted my order for food after the kitchen had officially closed.

Please take the full-length mirror out of the en-suite, the one that directly faces the loo!--I don't wish look at me sitting there......

We contacted the hotel to say we were arriving after the dining room hours and they offered us a menu online to pre order food. When we arrived our food was ready and delicious. Staff were great and went above and beyond to make us comfortable Great nights sleep

Pretty unimportant but the shower in room 2 is faulty.

Magic facility. Brilliant room. Superb dinner and service and to top it off, the brekkie was excellent (lots to choose from and very tasty indeed). Overall; great value for money and very comfy - many thanks folks.

Room was very comfortable lovely double bed and great facilitys. Nice and quite even though there was a wedding reception on the Friday night.
