Room was spacious and clean but tired. Roast dinner was served cold - clearly reheated from the lunch leftovers. Stale scone substituted for the mini pavlova ordered as part of a trio of mini deserts.

Really enjoyed our stay at Alona Hotel for what was a last minute booking. Staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again with Bellshill Train Station a 5 min drive away with plenty of parking available there to enjoy the train into Glasgow. We only had a couple of minor issues with our room. Firstly, the outside windows of our room (309) were very dirty and could do with a clean. Lastly, the rainfall shower head wasn't working although the handheld shower was. The water tended to gather at the bottom of the shower which made it very wet but minor complaints really.

Friendly staff, a clean room and a good breakfast, however I had very little sleep on the second night of my stay due to a function taking place that was blasting out loud music and had a very loud voice booming over the sound system until 12:30am I had to leave at 6:30 the following day and this meant I woke extremely tired

We stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time, staff are so helpful and accommodating for anything we needed and friendly. Breakfast was nice and food places in the grounds are also good food my only thing I’d say is I needed more than 2 teabags a day but again could get some from breakfast area. The facilities around the park are amazing especially the waterside as there is a speedboat, pedalos and bumper boats cost £10.90 for all 3. Highly recommend this hotel as it has so much around it to offer to people right on the doorstep

The staff in particular reception were caring, pleasant, helpful, and understanding all in all reception was outstanding and staff throughout the organization were pleasant and extremely helpful so much so after my three days stay last week, I shall be returning to the hotel for another three days stay later this week

This property is very dated and in need of renovation. The rooms do not have air con or temperature control. The bathroom had broken and badly fixed tiles and toilet and paint missing from bottom of door and lock poorly fixed. Poorly designed wet room with water escaping from the shower area. Wifi is good. There was no-one on reception when I arrived. I am surprised it is rated as a 4* hotel. Nevertheless, it is in a good location, convenient for the motorway but quiet and near the lake and is the cheapest in the area.

Room good apart from temperamental television. Unfortunately food in restaurant poor. Ordered a vegetable and rice dish. Vegetables turned out to be deep fried in batter and covered with salt. So everything being deep fried in Scotland is not a joke. Staff very nice and offered alternative which was chicken potato and two veg. More works canteen than 4 star hotel. To my surprise they didn’t charge me which suggests that they know that the food isn’t very good

No fridge in room. No food available after 9pm. No one at reception after 9pm and no night porter available. I had to struggle from car park with a suitcase and two flight bags . When I told the receptionist I had luggage she informed me “ There was a lift” No help offered. The bed felt as if the mattress was full of rocks. Very poor customer service.

This hotel can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. It has lovely views if you get a room at the front. The food is great, in particular breakfast which I can never finish (when it's table service). The staff are all lovely, parking is easy, and the rooms are comfortable. I really like staying here and will go out of my way to stay.

Great value for money, set in a lovely area, great 4 mile loop round the loch. Evening meal good, breakfast id question the quality however for the money good value. My room had a broken iron which was ajoined to the ironing board however there was a spare which made it a bit complicated. I got 2 kettles as one was broken. Decor slightly dated. Bathroom great! Plug next to bed only worked whilst light was on so my phone didnt charge. Nearly overslept. Would i stay again? Absolutely! highly recammend, its not top end but its not a top end price.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the property. The room was spacious and , bathroom clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and both were very good. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful and Gary the Reception Supervisor was 5 star in service. I broke my ankle earlier on the day we arrived and he did everything possible to make me comfortable during our stay. Well deserved recognition for service excellence.
