Lovely clean rooms for a spa staycation

It is fairly local to where I live. Made the function I was attending more enjoyable, knowing I could go to my room at the end of the night.

There was a used towel over the shower rail that neither my daughter nor myself used. Not a big problem and I appreciate the cleaning staff have a big work load.

Wasn’t much to say. It was easy to find

So the fact that my partner was refused entry to the stairs as he don’t get in lifts because they had a huge event happing. being notified that they was having a big event would have been nice , The noise went on for some time. With people talking inside and outside the building. Loud music playing most the evening. If we had knew we could have booked somewhere quiet. So we left early as they had another party event agen the Saturday night.

Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not super fancy fit it was ok Access from the road was great and easy to get to the city center and to Edinburgh was very convenient.

Room is a bit outdated with the main issue being the bed. Uncomfortable, noisy like in a terror film. Really not a good sleep for us. 3rd day after trying for 2 nights ended up asking for a kids supplementary bed which was way more comfy than the main one. It is not really a Spa. The hotel is next to health and fitness club and it shares facilities. It was pretty crowded.

The beds were great. Access to the pool was great but was closed for 2 days due to maintenance. This was annoying.

The breakfast was rotten. Overpriced and the cappuccino is probably the worst I’ve ever had.

Beds were terrible, we removed to a different room as first bed was terrible, 2nd room bed was just as bad.

All the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Great slimming mirror 😃

This hotel is not 4 stars - it is tired and a little shabby and merits no more than 3 stars at most. No walk in shower in any of the "normal" rooms - you need to ask for an accessible room - which thankfully they were able to provide for my elderly mother who could never have climbed into a bath. There is a "spa" advertised with the hotel - it is in fact a club open to the public. The hotel has free access but it does not provide bath robes !! You can "hire" them at the spa for £20!!!. The spa is also a little tired with broken lockers but had fantastic pool access for people with limited mobility. We had only one hand towel for two and the lighting in the rooms is poor.

They didn’t inform us of Christmas party’s going on down stairs - we booked a quite getaway and ended up staying in the room instead of using there restaurants etc - place full of drunks and drugs where seen getting took

Spa and Facilities are excellent. Good spacious rooms. Staff are very nice and good at their jobs.

Only thing I didn't like are the pillows are not good but the beds are comfy.

Bit pricy. From the last time we stayed breakfast wasn’t as good.

The staff on reception were both really nice and very helpful. The hotel was really nice and the room was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the leisure facilties and maybe try the gym next time!

We didnt find anything we didnt like and will certainly be back at some point

The leisure and Spa was ok just and the bed was big decent pillows.

Broken vending machine so couldn’t get cold juice after bar shut. Broken steam room which made working one crowded. We went for a meal my partners meal wasn’t cooked properly. It wasn’t the only meal that was sent back that night.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean but starting to show age. Halls seemed reasonably recently carpeted and floors were all nice quite walking around. Breakfast decent, quickly seated and plenty of choice. Overheard other customer ask for veg sausages and something else gluten free and this was all greeted with a very friendly "no problem at all". Pool area was nice and I didn't feel pressurised at all to be gone for 12 check out. Very good thanks.

The first room I was given 110 sits above entrance roof within a minute of checking view outside I could see and hear that a gutter above was leaking or blocked and dripping on to roof. I generally sleep through most stuff but weirdly have no tolerance for dripping noise. I knew I wouldn't be able to ignore this and have a disturbed night so feeling a bit daft I went back down and asked if they could move me. Most similar rooms were on same stretch with little guarantee I would still hear it but they found another on floor 3 and having a quick check this was absolutely fine so thank you to reception staff for accommodating this.

The staff when friendly well some of them others where a bit rude and abrupt.

The fact I paid near 120 for one night, I got told about check in at 3 but wasn't made aware that the swinging pool sauna hot tub was included it wasn't explained very well. And I missed out on this because of the description.. also the room was freezing 🥶 I was going to tell the staff that the radiator didnt work but tbh when I spoke to a cleaner they said most dont work and they dont want fo fix them. Am not happy also the fact it was an only tv only channels 1-5 that didnt work properly.. I asked how to get Netflix and was told you have to bring your own fire stick again I was not explained this when I was making the booking for 120 u would think it has basic like Netflix... then in the morning we where to get breakfast with our room. First of all I asked gor a coffee and got sold one I had to pay for!! Then to relize you get free coffee so shy make me pay ? For it being a hilton thr breakfast looks nice but it's not very nice the sausages are cheep and u can taste that also the scrambled egg for that price again thinking its fresh made its been made in a microwave and tasted like rubber the bacon 🥓 was so greasy I'm not happy at all.. check out was at 12pm but we left just at 9.05am

When we arrived, we were told that we did not have a booking even though we paid through Booking.com. We had to late at night find another hotel in another town. I expense through having to get a taxi and total inconvenience.

The hotel was fully booked and couldn’t find us on their system and therefore had to refuse us a room.

The fact we booked for a relaxing night away from family and work life trying to get an early night and plenty of rest and had some function blasting music under our room untill 1215, it honestly felt like the dj was right in our room with the base shaking the room.

Excellent location just off the motorway with extremely easy access to Glasgow. Plenty of parking. Pleasant staff. When I complained about my room being backed onto the elevator shaft and having no sleep at all, the young lady on reception moved my room without hesitation.

My first night was entirely sleepless because I was allocated room 121 which backed onto the elevator shaft. The swooshing and clunking of the elevator on the main bedroom wall kept me awake the entire night (I even tried sleeping with headphones on). It was intolerable. My room was moved to another far from the elevator however this room had an inexplicably wet bathroom floor (I couldn’t see a reason for this, hadn’t used the shower or bath). As I was only sleeping there and leaving early in the morning, and had already moved once, I just let it go.

I have been about 3 times this year with my granddaughter, she’s o my 7 and it’s our spa break , she absolutely loves it She loves the pool facilities and our hotel room
