Mind blowing! Staying is this cave was a highlight of our trip. It is beautifully renovated but still authentic. It still has the metal rings where the animals would have been kept. It is HUGE, the bed is super comfortable, the location is 10/10. We walked to restaurants and to see Matera at night is a special treat.
There is a slight musty smell when you first arrive, I guess that goes along with the territory, it is a cave after all. The actual space is very clean.

Very spacious, modern design, peaceful and well located. Welcome bottle of wine, coffee pods and electric kettle.
We could take chairs outside the entrance and enjoy the view. Ensure you make time for the walk into the ravine, across the river and up the other side to view the town.
