The flat was right in the middle of the Sassi, ideal for sightseeing Matera and dining out at some excellent restaurants. We appreciated having a second bedroom, as we tend to snore and disturb each other.
It would have been nice if there had been a small sofa or 2 armchairs on which to read or relax (only 4 dining chairs. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. They start cleaning the streets noisily at 5:00 in the morning! And, if you like to sit outdoors, this flat only has a narrow balcony with just enough room to put 1 chair the photo is the view from the balcony.
