Relaxing, beautiful stay in a beautiful town with my family

The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms were spacious. The property was well maintained and staff were professional and accommodating when we requested to extend our stay by one night. Breakfast was wonderful with a myriad of buffet and hot meal options.

Lovely old style hotel

What a charming hotel. Loved the comfortable seating in the lounge and the personal service. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was huge - kept us going all day. Wished we could have stayed for more than 1 night. Next time for sure.

We were in the outer buildings. It was really outdated . Old fashioned . 2 biscuit s on a saucer wrapped in cellophane! Just don’t put them out … or maybe they were left from the last guests .. who knows ? Very overpriced. Breakfast was okay

Enjoyable and relaxing

The hotel is set off the road and a easy walk into the center of the town. Which makes it a quite and peaceful location, with wildlife in the surrounding trees.. I liked the staff who welcoming and friendly. There was no noise from the surrounding rooms.

Definitely a comfortable stay overall.

This is a good value hotel. The people who run the place could not be nicer or more accommodating - we really appreciated their friendly welcome and they made us feel so at ease. The public rooms are lovely and comfortable.

We stayed in the 'new' wing and it is in need of a real refurbish. I would bet that the older rooms have charm and character. The new wing room was kind of last century B&B standard, perfectly workable but not great. We didn't mind that much because everything else was wonderful.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Views from the dining room were stunning and the breakfasts were excellent with well cooked eggs (both boiled and fried) and properly cooked bacon. Dinner was beautifully presented. The decor and furnishings were very well matched to the property and the paintings were excellent - not the usual hackneyed prints you find in most hotels - it tells of a family run hotel.

Very very homely

It was super cozy, clean and very well taken care off with amazing views . But the staff was exceptionally nice especially the Romanian lady that’s in the kitchen she was super sweet and helpful.

We just wished there was a fridge in the rooms and some rooms showers were really old fashioned

Outdated but comfy and nice staff

- location, we had a room with a beautiful view on the Scottish landscape - our room was properly sized for 2 adults and 1 child, thank you - nice staff

- if you like British style from the 70´s otherwise a bit of refresh would be welcomed. - mattress were very soft, they would deserve some refresh too - breakfast is ok, not specific to this hotel, but quite standard with no fresh products rather standard industrial meals.

Relaxing, friendly and enjoyable.

The setting was lovely with views down the valley and a large expansive garden to walk around. It was both within Pitlochry, so handy for shopping, but also quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and the breakfast had table service and the meal enjoyable. We plan to use this hotel again if we go to Pitlochry for a break. We slept well and left relaxed so for us that ticks an important box.

Some may find the style of the rooms isn't modern but for us they fitted in perfectly with building which has some great architectural features.

Great location, friendly staff, would stay again

Very friendly welcome upon arrival. Breakfasts were deliscious and breakfast service was great!! We came for heartland festival so this was a great location to walk around pitlochry and to the festival itself. Would definitely stay again… thank you!

Nice building with plenty of space

Family room was spacious. Two adults and two children and we had plenty of space. Well located for where we were going. Nice grounds. Comfortable. Plenty of parking.

Cost. Cooked breakfast portion was small compared to other places (didn't get the same each morning either) which was a shame when due to intolerance I can't eat much of the continental buffet. People moving around in the room above us was very noisy but maybe we were just unlucky with the people staying above being especially noisy.
