It was ok as a quivk stop over but no atmosphere or warmth from staff everything seemed a chore

Arrogant atmosphere Staff were very black and white, poor customer service and just transactional It was our anniversary and they didn’t do recognise that at all I booked this as there was an offer for an upgrade but the room was small and dated Wouldn’t stay here again, there are much better options

Room was lovely, comfortable and clean.

The hash browns were too crispy and there was not natural Greek yogurt for breakfast, nothing for good gut health which wasn't sweet. Not much of a complaint which shows you are doing well, just something to consider.

Well to be honest. I’ve stayed at this hotel for many years . This last stay wasn’t pleasant!, the room was ok but unfortunately the bed had seen better days !!!. We didn’t sleep well as the mattress was fit for the skip and not for sleeping on . Was a shame as I told the receptionist and he decided to do nothing about it at all !!!!. No discount at all and full payment was taken on my card . We were very disappointed!!. And only recently the £12 breakfast help yrself was introduced!!. Let’s say if you like hard bacon , dried scrambled eggs and cold mushrooms you will love it here

Beautiful place to stay

This hotel felt like staying in a stately home, with an absolutely stunning interior. The rooms were extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We needed to change rooms during our stay, and this was handled extremely well. We were very happy with the room we were given. The service at breakfast and supper was excellent, and the staff were especially attentive to the needs of my elderly mother, which we really appreciated. Everyone we encountered was helpful and kind. We stayed for three nights and had a very comfortable stay overall, and we would happily recommend this hotel.

The bedrooms are located in a separate building from the main house where breakfast and supper are served. We had not realised this when booking, and in cold and rainy weather it was a little inconvenient. That said, this was simply a matter of layout rather than service, and something future guests may wish to be aware of when choosing to stay here.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The jacuzzi bath was a bonus surprise and the bed was super comfortable!

Great location, fabulous historic building, nice room but disappointing breakfast buffet.

Great location (for an event at The Belfry) and lovely, very grand looking building which raised expectations! Our room in a side-building was spacious and comfortable with a smart bathroom too and a lift option to the 2nd floor.

Check-in was a little delayed as the sole receptionist was busy dealing with a wedding guest, which took some time! We were out at a function that evening so cannot comment on dining and bar facilities. Breakfast the following morning was disappointing. This being a 'Signature Collection' BW, we had expected a really nice breakfast and this disappointed: no coffee-machine, waiting for hot buffet items and generally a below average selection of breakfast items, indeed, many budget roadside inns would do better!

We love staying at this hotel. The building is beautiful and charming. However, what makes staying here so special is the staff. Peter in particular made us feel so welcome. Thank you Peter and the rest of the team!

A lovely and convenient location which delivered a comfortable stay. Breakfast was tasty but slow.

Lovely welcome at reception and easy transaction. Very clean and spacious, comfortable room and bathroom. Would have loved a fridge but as it was only 1 night we managed. Food was lovely at breakfast especially the sausages.

Unfortunately the breakfast experience was frustrating as the team were lacking proactive support to making sure supplies of food and beverages were available at all times. This meant having to ask for things multiple times and hot food was in short supply and some was cold. Such a shame really as the selection would have been great if available. Seemed to be a disconnect between from office and kitchen.

Overall Very Pleasant Stay

Check in and out was simple. Marius was a little rude on check in but check out was good. Staff cleaning room were helpful and polite as were bar staff

I was in the Brew House the room was warm and comfortable but the entrance corridor felt a bit tired. I felt a bit isolated once the Saturday night people had checked out

The fact that the room smelt like someone had done a dump just before we entered room. The prices of drinks were ridiculous No toaster as it had broken apparently Cold coffee Had to wait 10 mins for bacon as there was none Opened jam and marmalade mini jars should be fresh

Somewhat less then what I was expecting

Room was was clean and the bed was comfortable

Our part of hotel still ongoing building site, our room recently refurbished to a standard that I would not have accepted in my home. Reported trip hazard in bathroom on arrival to reception, no action was taken. Other issues such as window being left open by cleaning staff, room very cold on return, had to use a coat hanger to reach widow lock to close it, losses toilet seat, and reported again trip hazard on checking out. This was meant to be an accessibility room, I feel it comes up short on many of the requirements which may be needed.
