Rooms were really nice, clean, modern, well equipped.
N/A. Was only there for say 18 hours, most was spent either out or asleep

Good location for a buying show I was attending in Solihull the next day
When I arrive the car park was full. After a few laps of the car park I managed to squeeze in a space.
When I got to the reception I was greeted a full on party and disco.
A man asked me if I needed to check in ( I’m not sure if he was security for the event) then when to get a member of staff.
A lady arrived and checked me in and apologised for the noise, apparently it was a big wedding reception in full flow. She said it won’t be on too late.
I checked in to my room , thankfully I stopped to eat on my 3 hour journey as it appeared they the restaurant wasn’t available.
I then sat in my room and listened to the music etc till 2am.
I decided to travel down the night before my meeting to ensure I had a good night sleep .
I was not notified of the wedding etc when I booked.

Yes better than expected. Good parking. Fresh rooms.
When we arrived we 2 of our 4 rooms were doubles not twins although I had booked twins the only one available. It was sorted out but we could have been put in a very difficult position if there were no twins had been left, this should not if happened. Breakfast wasn’t available till 8.30, although a Sunday, I expected it to at least from 8am. Breakfast was satisfactory, but items were not replenished quickly enough, eggs were over done, hard.

It was a clean, comfortable room and had a decent shower. There was quite harsh lighting which might not bother others. I have sensory sensitivity so I took out the main bulb and just had the vanity on instead of the bedside lamps.
It didn’t feel that secure. No code or key to get in so the outside door was open all day and night with no manned reception after hours. No safe meant I took all valuables when I went out. The fire alarm also tripped twice during the visit - the second time in the night.

Room: This was clean and bedding was comfortable and a good range of channels available on the TV. While WiFi was available I had no cause to use it.
Breakfast: A good range of food and cereals available and good quality.
Dinner: Due to a late arrival we did not dine. However, having done so on previous visits, the food was excellent, and friends that were already staying in the hotel assured me this was still assured me this was stillthe case
There was nothing to dislike at the Limes. Ample free parking and easy access to the motorways that were only a few miles away from the hotel.

As a regular Birmingham hospital visitor we are in search of somewhere regular to stay.
The lady that greeted us when we came in (wedding planner) was absolutely wonderful. Kind, funny, courteous and welcoming. We had been stuck on the motorway for 6 hours as there was an accident and she was exactly the friendly face we needed
The breakfast waitress, was on her own all morning, short spiky hair, but wonderful, funny, smiley and just lovely. Couldn't do enough to help.
We went for dinner in the restaurant, the bar maid /waitress. There were two. An older lady and a young girl. Older lady was lovely.
The young bar maid was the rudest, most inconvenienced staff member I've seen in a long while. We approached the bar, after being in traffic for 6 hours starving and tired but still smiling and just happy to be getting a drink. Couldn't get a smile from her, couldn't get eye contact, felt like we should have gone somewhere else. She was blank, abrupt and not at all interested in making us feel welcome.
Trouble is when it's like that you feel you can't ask for help or anything because you are already a problem.
Based on her attitude we would not stay here again.
I googled places to eat nearby, turns out there were many places we could have chosen
The shower in the room also didn't keep the temperature... Went hot and cold hot and cold

The whole experience could not be faulted. Staff were polite, friendly and professional. Room was amazing!
Met 2 x receptionists who were efficient and personable.
Sorry to leave!

Location
We had booked 2 twins but ended up with 2 doubles. The staff were very good and and quickly converted a sofa to a bed in one room

Location
Parked in the only place available due to an event (which was very noisy). It was a safe place which did not restrict access but it did not stop the owner and “safety guy” shouting at me to move. I said I would happily move if there was another space. They told me to park on the single track lane outside the hotel. It was only when the owner actually looked and accepted that I was safely parked that he said I could stay there, the Resturant was closed, and no room service, so I could not eat. I left after the first night (the hotel door was still locked at 8am, so couldn’t not speak to anyone. Still charged for both nights. No loo paper in en-suite. All very Faulty Towers, I couldn’t believe they were shouting at me for parking safely in a hotel car park that has parking!

Location
Mattress very cheap, sank and squeaked every time you moved!
Carpet needed a good clean especially around the skirting boards.
Shower sealant black.
Was not informed that breakfast was not available in the restaurant ( I did appreciate it was Boxing Day morning) however the room was booked as B&B and as one of the occupants is diabetic the tray of cereal brought to the room the previous evening was not a breakfast option.

External light kept coming on and illuminating the room at night
Blinds inadequate

The room was away from the Christmas party as we had requested. It was warm and clean and was just what we needed after a busy day. Breakfast was excellent . We will be back soon

Nothing. The limes showed us to a room booked months ago with no heating. The manager was incompetent and unhelpful. We were promised our money back as on a freezing November night we couldn't stay in that room and no alternative room was given. (As yet still fighting for our money. Customer sevice is rude, unprofessional and ignorant. As ignoring us now.) Outside the open reception door we had to squeeze part smokers standing in the door puffing smoke into the hotel.
Avoid but if you don't and if you get the room without heating don't leave until refunded that's my advice. It's been a horrible experience. And we had a 2 hour drive on a cold, icy night back home!
Everything. The entire experience was a joke.

As a regular visitor we know the staff will be amazing and the food outstanding. Super beds mean a great sleep too
Mark always welcomes us with a smile and a feeling that he is genuinely pleased to see us.
Nothing. The limes always manages to relax us.

Convenient location and good parking.
I arrived quite late and check in was very easy.
Bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
Whilst the room was a good size, the blinds in the room didn't work and the curtains were quite thin and so it didn't block the outside light.
The bathroom extractor fan stayed on all night and there was a fusty smell in the room and the wallpaper on the wall next to the door to the wardrobe was peeling off
8.0 / 10.0
Breakfast was average, location was ideal for our purposes
The place looked liked it needed some upkeep. For example, moss on windowsill, untidy grounds, exterior paint a bit tired, sewage smell near front etc

I booked the hotel to attend a funeral and wanted a peaceful place to stay. My room was right over the function space whereby it literally shook until nearly 1am. Complained - was advised I couldn’t be moved as full and that management would follow up with me the next day. No one available on check out and no call received. Room was dated as was the rest of the hotel. Would not stay again or recommend. A real shame.

Onsite restaurant was fantastic.
Really good sized room (6)
Mattress a little ‘saggy’ in the middle though still ok comfort wise.
No plug socket for one bedside lamp when the single beds were ‘zip & locked’ together.
Room/bathroom were really cold (November check in) as radiator thermostats turned off, warmed up by the time we’d come back from dinner.

Breakfast
Fire alarm went off at night and no staff came out to say it was ok to go back in or why it had gone off. Room was noisy and radiator made very loud noises in the night. Had to warm room up when I arrived as windows were open and radiator off even though it was freezing outside. Bar area was cold, had to take my meal to my room to eat. Reality did not match the pictures on the website.

The location was perfect for visiting Solihull. It was tucked away so not loads of traffic. It was nice to see the sheep over the road.
The meal I had booked for the evening was not great. We were rushed to make an order within 10 mins of the booking as they had a "function" on and if we didn't order there and then we would have to wait hours (their words) which I was not imformed when I booked the table. I cancelled subsequent tables and when asked why I explain to the man on reception to which he said "oh"

Location was beautiful. Staff were really nice. The breakfast was very nice.
The room was lovely and large. ( Room 15)
The room and bathroom needs finishing off. Sealant and shower seals need work. Bathroom could do with a fan for ventilation....

Nothing. It was excellent.

The staff were lovely, especially the lady one the front desk on Halloween evening.
Plenty of hot water and powerful shower.
Decent size room with wardrobe space, hairdryer, iron and iron board.
Quick and powerful radiator in the room (bathroom room didn’t get warm though)
Huge hole ripped into one of the bath towels, didn’t spot it until the morning and there was no one in reception to inform (no one there until 8:30 apparently).
The sound proofing is non existent- request an upstairs room if you can because it sounded like a herd of elephants pacing around the room upstairs all evening!!
No milk portions in the room, very limited, just coffee and breakfast tea but only if you like both of them black…

This hotel is in a great position for us to visit family . we were in a nice big room. Restaurant closed at 8.30pm but we knew that before we went. Breakfast they coudl accommodate my husband gluten free bread.
This is twice we have stayed when there is a wedding on- the hotel emailed us to tell us - but this time we were in a room very near to the Wedding Reception so it was very loud. I think they could do better with their room allocations.
6.0 / 10.0
Good appearance, welcoming staff. Room good.
Pillows poor. Sound proofing poor. Ongoing events which made the restaurant & rooms very noisy. No idea why we weren’t warned of the booked events. Food average. Sadly disappointed.

Lovely staff.
Unfortunately the fire alarm went off. Can’t be helped and the staff were apologetic but it would have been appreciated to have a been offered a partial refund given the major distribution. The room also needed a bit of tlc, shower door off the rails and curtain fell down. I did ask to move rooms after the alarm and this room was much better.

The restaurant looked nice
The room was dirty. There was lots of marks on the walls, holes in the door. The room had been hoovered and the sheets were clean but the sides still had dirty earbuds on them from a previous occupant. The room needs a good luck of paint and a deep clean (especially around the fridge)

The Limes is always our hotel of choice when visiting family in the Midlands. It is clean and tidy with very friendly staff. We stayed for two nights and on both days the breakfast was excellent. There was a wedding on the second evening but we were informed and it really didn't impact our stay in fact it was nice to see so many happy faces around the hotel. ( Although some of the music was a bit dodgy!).
Unusually on arrival we found our room appeared not to have finished being serviced. There were no towels and no water and the rubbish bin still had discarded items from a previous guest. It was no real problem as it was clean and tidy. A simple visit to reception solved the problem and all was well. They explained there had been a power outage and it had led to them falling behind.

Location to work was good
Food was not every nice
Breakfast was dripping in fat
Music playing in courtyard passed 10.30
Lights under window going on and off every 5 min from 8-10 pm
Carpet in room 12 needs replacing rippled up and coming away from wall
Burn mark in carpet
To order room service you have to go to the bar which is right next to the dinning room so pointless

Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room, I had a very restful night's sleep. Excellent breakfast. Refreshing to see a privately owned establishment delivering such good service in competition with the many 'monolithic' chains.

Beautiful setting, rooms tastefully decorated , staff great. Food delicious. Very convenient for M42.
Not a criticism, some rooms have steep stairs to access. We will request a ground floor room next time.,
