Location was convenient

Staff didn’t have the room prepped with a cot like I requested before arrival, they did not have a cot available, I slept on the floor for 2 nights and when they did have a cot, they went to the wrong room to drop it off.

Great value for money hotel located on a leasure/entertainment complex, close to motorway network and Villa Park.

Great price for booking single room with breakfast, and free parking, located at Starcity Birmingham. Friendly staff and comfy rooms. Around the hotel location there were plenty of options to eat out.

The hotel reception staff and breakfast staff were brilliant, couldn't do more for you. Polite, kind and very helpful 10/10. The room itself was clean and big, bed was comfortable and good sized TV. No noise, great breakfast, lots of options

The housekeeping wasn't done in my room, a coffee was spilt over the bed, needed new bedding, duvet and sheet, told house keeping, but was not done when I got back to the hotel later that night, the evening reception/ bar/ restaurant staff sorted it immediately and efficiently and were very apologetic, nor had we gotten new towels or tea caddy wasn't restocked the evening staff also sorted this for us. Could hear heavy footsteps from floor above but didn't bother sleep. No hot chocolate options for room for kids, again evening staff sorted this.

All the lightning, walls, bed, carpet, curtains, view, breakfast, free WiFi, toilet and shower! Pretty much everything. There was even an iron and ironing board in the room! I was very satisfied. Couldn't heart anyone from other rooms. Only from outside the door could hear

Only one thing, which happens in a lot of hotels, is that the cleaning staff are eager to come clean the room before visitors have checked out. This time, they didn't knock to check if I was still there. They apologised though, so that was good. I still had just under an hour left of my stay.

Location, free parking, cleanliness, shower & accessories in bath. Rooms size and bed was ok too however pillows were terrible.

No herbal tea bags or biscuits in the room, breakfast was very limited.. I went out for a breakfast on second day. Staff were not bad but nothing nice to remember either.

My 3rd stay in a very short time !! I have returned to this Holiday Inn for Birmingham trips as it offers a really warm but professional welcome great staff rapport with customers and each other ! The breakfast is excellent , catering for all dietary requirements. An all round great hotel for my requirements.

Great hotel

The hotel was nice my room was absolutely great nice comfortable bed it was a decent size room so we could move around and the bathroom was clean it was great that the hotel had it own private car park so I had no worries about me parking my car there

I'd say I didn't like the times for breakfast it's starts at half 6 to half 9 I think breakfast should last till 11am Well that's my opinion

Friendly and helpful staff with a fantastic breakfast

The rooms were lovely and clean and had everything you needed in them. Breakfast was superb. My only personal grumble is that it didn’t have plum tomato’s. All the staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in. The girls working on the bar Thursday and Friday couldn’t have looked after us any better.

The hotel is looking very tired. Thread bare carpets isn’t a good impression when you first step out of the lift. Thankfully it turned out to be an enjoyable stay.

It met our expectation

the breakfast room and bed met our expectations

We could not get through the gate on arrival and drove round to look for another entrance which we could not find. We phoned the helpline and no one answered, we were invited to leave a message. On our second approach to the gate, others were waiting and a guest going to his car was called over. He went to reception and informed them. We were able to access Holiday Inn as the guest was leaving. The receptionist said he was the only one on the desk and could not pick up the phone

The property is old and worn, the staff is rude, unfriendly. The boy at the reception was particularly rude, arrogant and made the stay regrettable for us to choose that particular hotel. We were given a particular time slot to come to eat dinner at 8pm . We were too tired and needed to eat at catch some sleep early. He was so not nice from the time we got to the reception. I had to ask why is he not nice and why is rude to us for no reason. I did ask him why is he not friendly to us, we were check in at about 6pm and were already too tired and was looking forward to a pleasant and polite reception and consequently enjoy our evening. But it was a distressful one instead . The hotel is old and worn out , the carpet, it was bare minimum and very disappointing to say the least ☹️
