Comfortable stay with lovely hosts.

Visited in a cold and wet Feb 26, stayed 6 nights. We had Room 6 on the top floor. Room was super spacious and warm and the bed really comfortable. Small car park at rear was handy and the owners kindly moved their car (before we even asked) to allow us to back out. Breakfast had a good selection and any problems we had were dealt with by June and Bob who are lovely people. Location was good: the local shops and restaurants in Faulkner St. or nearby, were such good quality that you didn't necessarily have to go into town to eat in the evening! Chester was amazing: cathedral/town walls/canal/shops/restaurants/coffee shops etc etc

The Skylights in the ceiling were a bit difficult to reach but we didn't ask as I'm tall and could just about reach. A slightly bigger shower cubicle would have been appreciated by a tall chap like me, to prevent those knocked elbows! Otherwise there really wasn't anything to complain about with this room..

Poor and disappointing in mid winter yet I was forced to rough it.

Much to my disappointment given the price paid. Only one radiator in the bedroom worked and the sash window was not double glazed therefore on a windy night as on Saturday past it was draughty. On Sunday night again only one radiator worked and no heat was on until 8.15pm. The proprietor did call me back when I complained yet on both nights and the second morning no-one was in charge and on the premises to address any complaints. Breakfast was too late for me when my circumstances changed on the second day. When I requested say 20% reduction because of conditions, I was told that they would 'do me a good deal on my next visit' This is not good enough given their rating and charge. I ask booking.com to help on this please

Beautiful property, great location, it’s about a 20 minute walk to Chester centre, there are bus stops right outside if you don’t fancy walking. In Hoole there are plenty of pubs and coffee shops, with lovely boutique shops too.

Highly recommend

I really enjoyed my stay at Ba Ba Guesthouse. The room was clean and cozy, and it was wonderfully quiet at night. Breakfasts were tasty and hearty, a perfect start to the day! It’s just a 10–12 minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this place!

Friendly clean guest house, with parking

Lovely and clean,spacious comfy room with nice arm chairs to relax in. Staff lovely and helpful. Great for Chester. Only criticism was the size and power of shower. Great freshly cooked breakfast, would stay again and recommend.

Exceptional stay and the Ba ba guesthouse

I had a fantastic stay at Ba Ba Guest House. The location is perfect close to cafés, restaurants, and convenient amenities. The building has real character and charm, which made the stay feel unique and homely. The standout part of my visit was the hospitality from the owners, Bill and June. They are genuinely the most accommodating hosts I’ve ever met. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, and they were incredibly supportive during some personal matters I was dealing with. Their warmth and kindness made the stay feel safe and welcoming. A traditional bed and breakfast like this far exceeds any Airbnb or chain hotel experience. I highly recommend staying here if you want comfort, character, and truly outstanding hosts.

Great Stay in a Historic Building

I had a lovely stay at Ba Ba Guesthouse and my room was just great being on the first floor. I loved the high ceilings and decor in my single ensuite. The owners (June & Bill) were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was good and kept me going late into the day. The location of the B&B is wonderful with neat shops & restaurants to explore. June was very sweet to give me a map of Chester and answer any questions.

2 night stay in Chester

We stayed in room 6, lots of space, and a super King-size bed. The room was spotless and well maintained. Free car parking The owners June and Bill were pleasant, welcoming, and informative (but not overly!) June let us check in early as the room was ready

Could have benefited from a heated towel rail in the bathroom as there was ample space, and the shower head did not stay upright, but that's just being picky. Other than those 2 minor points, we could not fault it.

Comfortable, clean and great location

Hosts June and Bill are friendly and helpful. On site parking was a bonus. The room was very clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable. A great location with a 5 minute walk to pubs and restaurants in the next block. Breakfast was well catered for every pallet and the cooked English breakfast was scrumptious. Easy to check in and out. I would stay there again!

No fault of the Hosts; The building is on a corner and the adjacent laneway is one way and you can’t turn in to it from Hoole Road to access parking at the back of the property. You need to drive around the block and access parking from Westminster Road.

A Rare Gem

This is hospitality like it used to be. Friendly, helpful, personal. June is great at helping with tips on transport options and local activities. My room was a very good size for a single with a comfy bed and chair, desk, tv, kettle, hairdryer and wee ensuite bathroom. The breakfast is a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked, and tea or coffee. It is an easy walk from the train station and about 20 minutes walk to town centre. I had a lovely stay here.

Team Ba Ba excel 👏

Team Ba Ba provide an excellent base to visit Chester. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and in a great spot, just a short walk to/from the train station if travelling by train. The breakfast was excellent, from full English to cereals, yoghurt etc. Thank you for your hospitality Glyn & Kay ❤️
