Beautiful location and lovely apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tigh Na Fraoch and would highly recommend. The apartment was great and we enjoyed the quiet and solitude. It wasn’t too far from central Portee but just far enough to enjoy a reprieve from the hustle and bustle. The view from the apartment is stunning and we enjoyed sitting at the picnic table and watching the sheep eating with the bay behind them. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. We would definitely return if visiting Skye again!!

The only suggestions we have is to supply washing machine detergent (or note to bring) and consider replacing washing machine because of mold. Also note that if you prefer Nespresso coffee to bring some or that they are sold at most nearby grocery stores (we had enough for our group of 4 for the first morning and then grabbed some for our next morning at a local grocery store).

Lovely property with stunning views. Very comfortable and clean.

The shower was a challenge sometimes very hot then very cold never consistent in the middle but the owner did say that it was an issue with water pressure.

Quiet, serene and amazing views!

Location was out of town, quiet and serene with a lovely picture window overlooking the ocean and pastures. Roomy kitchen and living room, comfortable beds. Dunvegan is about 10 minutes away with dining and a castle/garden tour. Be sure to check evening dining hours, they’re fairly short and booked up.

Shoes off in the house, and there is a tray for shoes but could use a small bench and some wall hooks. Parking is a little tight. Minor, overall fabulous!

Overall a very nice stations great location on Skye. Only one small issue was heater not working in two bedroom but this I’m sure would have been resolved had we asked.

Clean and cozy cottage offering a great Base to explore Skye.

It was warm when we got in. It was clean. The rooms were big. The view was lovely. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The outside wood was slip-proof. The sofas were comfy. The app was great and helped us a lot to get around. There was a lot of heaters and lamps. There was a lot of storage space. There was a lot of extras provided.

Some cooking oil would have been great. A plug in the bath would have allowed a muscle-sooting bath. The driveway is a little tight. These are very minor things.

Central location, stunning views, lovely solitude

The rooms were comfortable, the size of the place great. It was central to everything we wanted to do and yet remote enough that we felt in our own private space.

The dryer didn't work at all - and we had wanted a house for doing laundry mid trip. Also, the storage heaters hadn't been switched on prior to our arrival so we were really cold the first night. Also, we never could get the front door to lock.

Lovely place

Nice, fully equipped cottage situated on lovely place. We came late evening, right during the sunset and the view was incredible. Dishwasher, washing machine, small snacks, wireless connectin, everything available.

The only thing which I missed was freezer so I had to eat all the icecream in one go ;)

Gem on Skye

This little gem was the perfect location for our 2 night visit to Skye. There was absolutely nothing not to love about Tigh na Fraoch. Oh and the beds were like sinking into the arms of a dear friend ... after exhausting days we had the best sleep.

Excellent views, comfortable stay

The cottage stands on an elevated hilly land, right by the waterbody. The views from the porch and the living room are amazing. It's tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. We didn't get to meet the hosts, but they were super responsive to our messages. At just 15 minutes away from Portree, it's not too far from the restaurants and supermarkets.

A great place for a multi-day stay!

Check-in instructions were spot-on. The accommodations were ample and clean. There was a lovely view out of the living room window and the location was private but within easy driving distance of many of the activities to be had on the Isle of Skye.
