The bed mattress was broken when I told the owner he wasn't interested sent us a letter but it was illegible apart from the apology at the end, breakfast was a joke, less than a child's portion. We are both disabled and emailed them to let us know if it was suitable for us, but we didn't get a reply. When we arrived we could not believe it was the first floor room and we also had to negotiate a court yard with a cobblestone path to the building worst b&b we have ever stayed in and we decided to leave a day early. Sorry but the truth.

Relaxing stay

Beautifully peaceful and quite the unique hideaway. Lovely welcome from the owners, who were about if we needed but also gave us our privacy. The breakfast was freshly prepared and provided at a time that suited us. Really enjoyed our short stay and would recommend. Thank you

A beautiful place to stay, near to Crediton, Dartmoor and Exeter.

The pictures do not do the B&B justice. Set on a private lane, there was no traffic noise. The grounds are extensive with front and a separate large (secret) side garden. The rooms have been sympathetically updated without losing the original charm of the historic buildings. Our room was enormous, with plenty of space to spread out our things. The bed was very comfortable. It was wonderful to have a large bath with a shower over and top of the range toiletries provided. There is a ground-floor games room for the young at heart. Mike has researched the origins of the area covering 900 years of local history. There are interesting photographs of the farmhouse from previous generations. Breakfast was fruit, yoghurt, toast and continental pastries. Fredereike also offered to make us some boiled eggs. One or two slices of cheese would have been perfect. We ate at the nearby Lamb Inn in Sandford which is about a twenty minute walk away (torch needed). We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Idyllic location, beautiful old property, quiet rural surroundings. Slept like a baby! Frederique and Mike were kind and attentive hosts.

Perfect for a good nights sleep

We were welcomed by the owner who came outside and was super friendly . The room was spacious and smelled nice. it was super clean. Very quiet location. Very comfortable beds. Very nice brfst with proper, homemade fresh fruit salad . Delicious flaky pastries

Stunning Thatched bnb

Stunning Thatched bnb. Surrounding grounds and farm just beautiful and kept in impeccable condition. Nice big room, clean with double bed but mattress a little soft. Lovely location. Not a lot to do a few more pamphlets would be helpful to get to know the area but very pretty area. Local pubs The Lamb Inn amazing and great food. Frederiek was very welcoming and breakfast lovely but a bit of variety would be nice. Pastries were warm and cuppa tea hot. 🙂 We just aren't used to pastries for breakfast. Frederiek very kindly allowed us to look through their beautifully restored Thatched Through house that they have restored to an amazingly high standard. The workmanship is another level. Very pretty spot to finish our holiday in England. Thank you Frederiek for your hospitality. Jan &Trev QLD Australia.

Exceptional in every way!

The location of this traditional thatched Devon farmhouse was something out of storybook; set in it's own little valley. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room with en suite was large and so comfortable, and the breakfast of homemade croissants, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins accompanied by juice, tea and coffee was mouth watering. We will definitely stay here again when next in the area.

Beautiful fresh continental breakfast. All I needed. Although off the beaten track the farm and gardens are beautiful and peaceful. If you are looking to get away from it all it’s perfect but you will need to walk or drive off site for evenings meals.

No complaints....just be aware you are away from local shops or restaurants and phone signal maybe weak.

Two nights in an idyllic setting.

Where to start........... A chocolate box beautiful house set in magnificent grounds, very secluded and therefore very quiet and peaceful. There was very adequate parking, an outside patio seating area with a table, perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the ambiance of this lovely property. The two rooms were pleasingly spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our hosts were both friendly and attentive to any inquiry or need that we might have had. Breakfast was continental, but of high quality and certainly adequate to start the day. There was a nearby games room with table tennis, pool table and table football which, even at my age, was a fun way to finish the evening before turning in for the night. Overall, a delightful place to stay, which we feel fortunate to have found.

Stunning Farmhouse with superb hosts in the middle of the glorious Devon countryside.

In a very pretty part of Devon, the stunning farmhouse is well off the main lane in a beautiful and peaceful location. It was lovely to be able to sit outside and watch and listen to the many different birds that visited the garden while drinking a glass of wine or two! Frederiek is a wonderfully helpful host and very understanding when on one evening we did not return until 3am! Although only a continental breakfast is on offer, it was plentiful with fruit, toast and delicious pastries with fruit juice and tea or coffee.

Unfortunately it was not the warmest start to June and we sometimes felt a little cold in the bedroom, being able to turn on the heating especially after showering would have made it more comfortable.

Hidden Gem, worth every penny we paid. Outstanding !

A hidden gem, clean beautiful accommodation. Owners were so welcoming, continental breakfast fab, gardens stunning made us feel like we had stepped into an alternate version of Downton. Classy and located in very accessible area for Exeter and all surrounding sights. Perfect for couples, really romantic setting, could not fault a thing.
