Disappointed stay in converted garage

The shower was good and water hot Tv was good

Really the description of it being a garden room is not really accurate it is a converted garage and not very homely or cozy no pictures plants or anything to make it feel cozy which is what we might have expected. It was functionally okay but that’s all really which was a shame.

I did not enjoy the room, although my wife thought it Ok, but it served its purpose.

The location, though unremarkable in itself, was quite convenient for central Exeter (3 miles away) and very handy for Digby & Sowton station, where as an added bonus parking is free! The bed was comfortable, but awkward to get into for one of us, being against the wall. Nice to see a heater provided, not needed for our stay, but it could easily have been. Ditto the fan, although it did rather get in the way in a very cramped space. Very helpful that the room is all on the ground floor, even though the outside areas aren't on one level.

There was no hot water, and the layout of the bathroom was very awkward, The room was cramped and felt a bit dark to me, even with the light on.

The owner seems to have tried hard to convert a small garage into a livable space. It is on bus lines. The basics were there, and the owner was good about changing towels that couldn’t dry. The television setup was good. The bed was warm. Handy to have a fridge.

The damp. Anything washed took days to dry, hanging on the heater just made them warm and wet. Clothing and notebooks were damp. Getting dressed was putting on damp clothes. 8 inch heater had no chance, and there was no air filtration or dehumidifier. The sink over the toilet was awkward and shallow. The‘garden’ was a paved area at the bottom of terraced back. You could touch the ceiling without extending your arms, it was a very small garage.

Fabulous place to stay.

It was very clean, the bathroom is amazing. The telly has access to its own Netflix and prime, very handy. It was lovely and quiet.

It keeps the heat very well, great for winter but a bit much on the humid nights I was there, but you can't control the weather ha ha

Amazing Accommodation "Little Gem"

The room was lovely, bright, and well decorated. Immaculately clean and smelt devine when we walked in. The shower was amazing, and the bathroom, despite being small, was functional and well thought out. We could not fault this accommodation. The bed was super comfy. TV came with free Netflix and the little fridge was a bonus. The hosts were always contactable and so quick at responding to messages.

Great location, lovely area with lots of things to do locally. I had everything I needed and felt very welcome. Buses are available right on the door step every 30 minutes into the city centre or train station.

Simply perfect

The property was located in a nice area of Exeter and had its own entrance allowing full independence. The accommodation was clean & ample with modern fittings, cozy bed & private garden area. The facilities were all one could desire with a friendly host willing to help if required.

Exceptional

Arrived late and had self check in facility which was great. Room was comfortable and location excellent. Had a nice run down to the river Exe in the morning. Highly recommend.
