I’ve had a really pleasant stay in St Anne’s Road Guest House, the room was very well situated, in a calm neighbourhood only a 15 minutes fare from the center. The Host was really nice, I’ve appreciated the fact that a continental breakfast was included. I’d definitely come back!

The only “” negative thing”” is that you cannot pay on Booking but you’ve to pay on the spot

The bed was very comfortable & tea & coffee facilities average, tv was very small but watchable

I sent a message asking for a ground floor room but apparently the message was not delivered! I’ve just had major hip surgery & I had to very painfully climb about 18 stairs! I was not happy with that!

A warm comfy, clean, inviting place to stay for one or two nights.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The proprietor was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is continental.

We were there when there were few other guests. The breakfast room might get crowded if more guests.

A real pleasure.

I had trouble arriving in time for check in and my host was extremely professional and gracious. I had a lovely continental breakfast which exceeded my expectations completely, it was more than i could have expected. It was very quiet and comfortable in my room.

Just what I needed for an overnight stay in central Exeter and would book it again.

Exactly as described and spotless. Very helpful landlady. Easy to find. The Bowling Green pub is nearby for food and drink.

I would appreciate a coffee machine e.g. Nespresso in the breakfast room rather than instant coffee.

Nice welcome from the owner. Good TV, shower and Internet. Clean and comfortable.

"Continental" breakfast with instant coffee, sad-looking plastic wrapped croissants, cardboard sliced bread and Dairylea cheese (though that's ok with marmite). I know it's a budget place but there must be good local bakers and cheeses - would it cost so much extra to provide something appetising?

Very warm welcome with clear explanation of facilities and access. The room and shower room were clean and well appointed. Nice to have tea and coffee in the room and a little tv. Nice continental breakfast included. The room was quiet.

The bed mattress was sloping and not very comfy. I could not make the shower run hot despite a couple of explanations ... maybe it was my fault.

Our room was clean and comfortable but not spacious. Basin in the room was handy. Breakfast was served early (7.00 - 9.00) with a good spread. Bus stop is at the end of the road. Carpark was available on site. Our host was very helpful.
