Excellent central location. Free on-street parking on Sundays.

A shame there was no food served in the pub on a Sunday evening as we would've liked to try it. But plenty of other options in Chagford.

We had a lovely stay. Good to find out that we could park on the road outside for free up to 11am.

It was our anniversary and so was lovely to receive a card and some nice chocolates on our arrival. We had a lovely full English breakfast in the morning. The room size was fine for us for the night.

Just watch your head on the room door frame as you go in, as it is lower than normal!

The Ring o Bells is an old fashioned, friendly pub. The room was clean and comfortable with an adequate shower. The bar can be lively but the food, although quite simple pub group, was excellent. Can’t fault the breakfast which was also excellent, the only downside is it is only served between 8 and 9 AM. Overall I would say the Ring O Bells is exactly as would be expected for the price. We liked it. This is the third time we have stayed there, as a convenient stopping off point, on our way up country from our home in Cornwall. I would definitely recommend it. Excellent value for the price and the staff are very friendly!

Breakfast was only served between 8 and 9 and it was OK, I felt the price I paid for 1 night was a little excessive, compared to that of friends who had 2 nights. However, I appreciate we paid for location

Pleasant stay in a delightful town.

A very friendly pub. Our room was of a decent size. Would have appreciated a more powerful shower. Very good evening meal at a good price. Breakfast (which was included in the room price) was plentiful and well cooked. Throughout our stay the staff were extremely friendly (as were the locals). Would definately return.

Just what we needed and exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful place. Warm, welcoming, happy and friendly. Great atmosphere, kind staff, great sense of humour, food & drink was spot on, both breakfast and dinner. They have a lush staffy pup who came and said hello and is VERY friendly.

Nothing bad to say, I’d definitely stay here again. Lovely place. I would recommend to anyone.

Loved the place. Local pub with a band playing in the Friday night we stayed. Dream come true for a couple of older music lovers. Decent pub food in the evening and a great full breakfast in the morning.

it was a spectacular place to be. The room was cosy and warm. Food was good. Staff were polite and kind, always ready to help. The food was good as well. The locals were very lovely and approachable and helpful. It was a good holiday for my husband and I.

There was no parking for those staying at the bed and breakfast but there was a public parking not too far and the rates were reasonable.

The breakfast was excellent, although we didn't have the full cooked one. The pub is situated right in the middle of Chagford, ideal for us. Parking was either on the road or in the long stay carpark round the corner.

The room was relatively small with limited space to put anything, other than that it was all very comfortable and agreeable. There was a small sitting area outside the room which I used instead of sitting on the bed to read my book.

Lovely breakfast, very friendly staff, great location, clean, comfy room with everything we needed. The dinner was good value and very tasty.

The bar area where the food is served can become very noisy in the evening and it's hard to have a conversation. It would suit some people, but not if you want a quiet chat or an early night!

The pub is in a great location. Lovely staff. Excellent food which was very good value for money. The room was fine. Clean and comfortable and exactly as we expected it to be. Breakfast was also excellent.

It was all good. A little bit old fashioned but so what? We weren’t booking a luxurious overnight stay so it met all our needs. Breakfast was 8-9. Would have preferred a wider time slot. But again not really a major issue.

It was enjoyable, friendly, and felt like a home away from home, with great food!

I have been coming to the Ringer for many, many years. It is a wonderful establishment with first rate yet reasonably priced food and wonderful rooms. It is what you would call a proper pub with a rich history and wonderful ambience. It is fun just to sit and watch the conversations and faces and laughter. It is even more fun when you jump in and chat, which both visitors and locals love to do. I would recommend staying here and visiting here whenever coming to Chagford or even to Dartmoor.

The dreaded Mira electric shower. Just impossible to control easily. When you turn in back on to wash off, it scalds you until the temperature settles. They are just intolerable.

Hospitality was superb! We were welcomed in.... Home cooked food ,piping hot and fresh... Honest and open... lots of laughter.... Good breakfast Room simple but very clean and had everything we needed. Slept like a log- maybe due to the alcohol consumed!! ( the signs around the bar area are very true!)

Superb Chagford Stay

Lovely little pub right in the middle of the village. Very friendly staff, cute little rooms and a fantastic breakfast included! Very thoughtfully left a few balloons in the room as we were celebrating! We also ate and drank in the pub and everything was amazing. Thank you so much guys!

The room got very hot in the night (would be a huge bonus in the winter!) but they do provide a fan which was a lovely touch!

The pub is charming, great English breakfast in the morning, friendly staff! Classic tired old pub rooms upstairs - comfortable and quiet, slept well, just a little tired. Love that they were dog friendly - made this very easy!
