The owner made us feel most unwelcome. 2 days prior to our arrival they didn't know we were coming even though we had booked and paid 2 months before. They are really indifferent and coldhearted, unlike all other croatian people i have met over the course of 9 years. They are only interested in making money but providing hardly anything, no hospitality at all. Furthermore essential details in the description and amenities are false. e.g. the family of the owners who live next door and above smoke from morning til night next to the apartment even though the entire property is declared as being non-smoker, smoking even prohibited as per houserules. The smoke comes into the apartment and no way of getting it out, as both windows are facing the front and the aircon is deliberately completely off. The apartment lacks any aesthetics, wall is even damaged, the kitchen is sparsely supplied and stove not really clean. I'm a host since more than 12 years and pride myself in offering the best of the best to my guests and these people are just the opposite. e.g. i asked them if they had salt and pepper and the answer was: 'it is not standard, you cannot expect it'. We had booked for 4 nights but but left utterly disgusted after 36 hours, after a rather sleepless night when smoke came into our bedroom until midnight. Currently trying to get my money back. Unlike other booking portals they don't want to give refund, even though the place does not correspond to description in such essential points.

not a bad place and a nice vacation ruined by owners behavior.

It has nice garden with a lot of animals that were really interesting for my toddler. Apartment has everything basic that you need and lady that is running the place is really nice. Apartment is quite close to the beach, but it is quite uphill (that is not really visible on photos).

While it is really close, it is not practical to get to the beach with stroller so we had to use our car a lot. Garden is great for kids however if you planned to use a kids pool or something similar, owners will not allow it because it can 'damage the grass' so be prepared for some strange limitations. Main reason for bad grade is owners attitude on the last day when my child got sick with very high fever and we asked day before if we could extend our stay for a day or two in case he gets worse (which he did unfortunately). They told us yes and not to worry, so we spent a restless night trying to get fever down and took him to the hospital in the morning. Only after I got back from the hospital around 2 PM, owners told us we had to leave by 3 PM because they had another reservation, but they found us a room nearby. In panic I took my kid and drove there only to be greeted by a person waiting to negotiate the price (which initially was double what we expected). At that point I just went back to my car asked my husband to book us nearest hotel and left that place so I can get my kid to bed. So if you don't plan on anything unexpected happening, you could have a nice time here, but if it does you are on your own, do not trust anything they say since they can change their mind in a second.

beautiful place

Everything. Great location. Owners. We recommend this apartment, our holiday in Cavtat was perfect. The owners are very kind,they were very helpful with leaving our luggage earlier as was our check in time, last day they even took us to the airport for free (the airport is very close to Cavtat but the only way is take the taxi - it is not expensive (15-16 euros), bus is complicated). The apartment has everything basic you need for 2 weeks stay, beds are comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped, the apartment is clean and not far by foot from many beautiful beaches with crystal clear water with minimal waves (both Cavtat peninsulas have many rocky beaches where you can be totaly in private but also bigger beaches with sun beds and bars). The place is really beautiful and about 40 minutes way by bus (4€) or boat to Dubrovnik, wonderful historical town. Many restaurants and two supermarkets around. The airport is very close but you do nôt hear the noise from planes inside the apartments.thank you for everything, we will return soon.
