A great stay, they do need their pipes seen to though

All in all it was not bad, but there is always place for improvement.

I appreciated the fact that I had a parking spot on the property. I liked the breakfast choices and the service in the restaurant. I liked the cleanliness of the hotel.

I did not like that some clients are smoking in their rooms and that smoke was coming to my room. The hotel is advertising as non smoking property and, if they have some clients not conforming with the rules, they do nothing. They should impose fees for those not complying. Also, I did not like that the staff does not look welcoming. They do not look happy. They do not know how to smile (just a little), they do not salute you when you come in. The rooms are huge and not enough furniture for such a space. Also, there are not enough plugs in the rooms to charge ones electronics (lap top, phone, I-pad, etc...) I was alone and I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. Imagine if we were 2 in the same room. In the bathroom there is no space to put your personal stuff (no shelves, no cabinets).

Handy stopover in Craiova.

Room was spacious and modern. 10 minute walk to the old town and restaurants and bars.

Never going back there

We didn't even stay there. After we checked in and got into the room, we realized that they didn't even clean it. The towels were laying dirty on the bathroom floor and there were used plates, cutlery and glasses on the table. After we asked for another room, they said that they can't even get us one, because the rest were already occupied and they can't even clean the room, as there were no cleaning ladies in the hotel. Finally, we asked for our money back and left that place...

awful stay

this property fully disappointed us

dirty jacuzzi, it had hair and dirt in it. when I tried to clean it by myself I switched on the water and it was smell like from the puddle . it was impossible to use it. I wanted to put a rose in the vase , but it was broken and glued things in the VIP room - where is the reputation of the hotel? The toilet didn't flush. there was a feeling of dirt everywhere. although I pointed on booking that it was our 10th anniversary of marriage - after all , we got probably the worst VIP room in the hotel. There is no interest in the client at all. No interest to the Booking Client ( as usually do another hotels) the hotel was empty, I can guess that all rooms are in such conditions. ( because of such amount of variants we received such a room ???) for this money you can rent a Boutique hotel in Craiova or add a little more money - and get a luxury hotel “5 continents” with best conditions ( I have checked by myself) breakfast was ok but with the details of egg shell in my plate. room staffing is perfect: bathrobes, slippers, comb, toothbrushes and paste, shoe polish, kettler and hairdryer! no comments here. towels are with the herb of the Melisa hotel and chairs in the restaurant , I can imagine , that Owner spent big amount of money for the branding and it was good some years ago.. but not now … unfortunately …

Cleanliness

The hotel is not worth 4 stars. Tiny beds, bad bathroom fixtures. Not enough sockets in the room and no one thought that the teapot needs to be plugged in... same for the fridge. Sauna - you need to turn it on and wait... Jacuzzi impossible to use, too much chlorine in the water. The breakfast is limited, so is the cook: the restaurant has the ambiance of a mortuary hall.

overall, some things need to be updated in the hotel (carpets) and our shower had a crack and the water could pour on the flour.
