A stay with an excellent location, but unfortunately marred by unacceptable hygiene standards and a lack of basic comfor

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Craiova. The hotel restaurant is also quite pleasant.

My stay was very disappointing due to poor hygiene. There was mold in the bathroom and a strong smell of dampness. Most shockingly, the kettle was filled with dirty, yellow stagnant water, and the coffee cup was unwashed from previous guests. The hotel does not provide a baby cot, which is a major issue for families. The air conditioning was extremely noisy and inconsistent (constantly switching between too hot and too cold). The pillows were oversized and uncomfortable, and the duvet was far too small for two people. Additionally, the lack of hotel parking in the city center is a huge disadvantage.

Very cozy hotel, can have 5 stars from us. We came to Craiova for Christmas market. We booked 2 nights in an executive room and everything was perfect. Very good breakfast, good location

Excellent stay, lovely staff, perfect location.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff truly stood out — incredibly kind, welcoming, and always attentive to every detail, which made my stay feel very special. The restaurant and breakfast service were excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. My room was comfortable, well-kept, and provided everything I needed for a pleasant stay. There are a few minor areas that could be improved to elevate the experience to absolute excellence, but overall, the quality of service and hospitality already make this hotel a fantastic choice. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others looking for a warm and enjoyable stay.

While my overall stay was very positive, I did notice a few areas that could benefit from improvement. In the wellness area, one of the saunas was not working, and the showers there would definitely benefit from a thorough descaling to improve the experience. Additionally, since the hotel does not have its own parking facilities, offering guests a discount at the nearby public parking would be a very welcome gesture. These are relatively small adjustments compared to the overall high quality of the hotel, but addressing them would truly elevate the guest experience to the next level.

Old town Craiova.

Centrally located in Old Town Craiova, steps from restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Nice breakfast and coffee. 12 min Bolt to the train station (50 min walk).

Saturday night loud music from bars and screaming people all night. The door to the bathroom is very loud. A little expensive and the steam room did not work.

If I am honest, it's a a small minus that there are some stairs to climb until the elevator and the soundproof is not that good but it did not bother us :)

Couldn't rest

Nice room,comfy bed

We couldn't sleep because of the loud music outside till late plus guests from the next room drinking and laughting ( on the balcony which we unfortunately shared) just in front of our door at 2 am. Strong smell from sewerage in the bathroom, hair behind the door in the bathroom.

The room decoration and the room itself was very good. Also very clean. The hotel itself and the breakfast was well above other 4 star hotels that i stayed in.

A bit noisy (music) around the hotel but it's something normal if you want to be close to everything. So this is not something negative, but is something to consider.

Located as central as it gets, dough no parking spot availble, there are options around on the street with 0.5 eur/ hour or in a large underground parking nearby. Everything was clean, and it had all that you could possibly need for the stay. Quite a large bathroom too. Continental breakfast with a lot of options - different types of cheese, eggs, meats, sweets.

The hotel is good. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and the location in the center is very nice.

The hotel is located in a street with bars. In the weekend there is loud music until 2-3 in the night. It is impossible to sleep. The hotel should add that in the hotel information.

The breakfast was good. The bed was confortable.

I didn't expect no to have a parking. It is true it was written in the reservation. We had to pay 50 additional lei to park at a restaurant near by. I won't return for this reason.

Great location, very nice room. Breakfast not very varied but enough for us.

Could be cleaner, especially in the lobby area, the carpet has seen better days. Toiletries mix, from individually wrapped tooth brushes to empty soap dispenser and half full one person shower gel. Coffee not great.

the location is very good, also very clean and the staf friendly. The breakfast wasn’t enough for all the guests, we arrived at 9:30 and there was almost nothing left.

Cleaning problems and awful views

The location of the hotel is excellen, right in the city center. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets of good quality. The staff was very friendly and professionall. The breakfast offer was generous. I also made use of the sauna, which I enjoyed.

The room we got had no view. There was a giant stain on the moquette. The bathroom had mould and it's clear that the cleaning was not done properly in the mold area because I saw a razor left from the previous guests. They had no spa or massage services available even though they listed them in the room guide. One more thing: I found it unreasonable not to have a power strip in the room when you have 3 electronic devices for 1 available slot. When making a coffee I had to get under the table to switch and afterwards to get back because the fridge had to be replugged. I believe this hotel is subpar to the 4 star mark and should drop its prices because they're making themselves a disservice by attracting customers with high expectations. No customer booking a 4 star hotel will tolarate cleaning issues.
