We were a group of six and chose this 4-star hotel with high expectations, especially for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and far from what is expected from a hotel of this standard. From the moment we arrived, several issues were noticeable. The rooms were not clean: the mirrors were dirty and the carpets were stained and covered with many marks. Communication with the staff was very difficult throughout our stay. Most of the employees did not speak English, except for the receptionist, and many of them were not polite. This is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel welcoming international guests. The worst experience occurred on the evening of December 31st. We went to the hotel restaurant at 8:15 p.m. with the intention of having dinner before going out to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The restaurant had only four tables. Despite this, we waited 20 minutes just to receive our drinks, while other tables were already being served. The situation became even more unacceptable when our food was finally served at 10:45 p.m., after a waiting time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a group of singers arrived at 9:30 p.m. and were served within five minutes, both drinks and food, while we were still waiting for our meals. In addition, the waitress did not speak a single word of English, which is completely unacceptable in a hotel of this category. The bar closed at 10:00 p.m., meaning we could no longer order any drinks, even though we had not yet received our food. We ended up being the last guests left in the restaurant. Finally, breakfast was very limited and poorly organized. Only one staff member was present, and once again, this person did not speak English. Overall, despite the hotel’s 4-star rating and the positive reviews we had read, the reality was extremely disappointing and did not meet our expectations at all.

• The quality of the furniture is clearly below what is expected from a 4-star hotel • Bathroom fittings (especially the shower holders) feel cheap • Lack of additional bathroom amenities that are standard for this hotel category • Breakfast selection is quite limited for a 4-star property • Very strong fragrance in the hotel corridors – pleasant, but overpowering • The price is not justified: the hotel is certainly not worth more than 150€ per night per person, even during the peak Christmas and New Year Market period in Craiova

Good for car travellers

This new-ish hotel is located out of town by a convenient road juction, and not far from a very large mall complex (with Tesla superchargers). This makes it quite well located if travelling by car. There is a tram stop outside the hotel. Adequate staff, adequate breakfast.

You have to download an app to use the one EV charger at the hotel, ugh. The restaurant was closed for some maintenance so I cannot comment on that.

The hotel lobby is beautiful. Parking lot had plenty places, easy to park our car. The night receptionist was lovely with great english

Well the day staff in the hotel is beyond rude. Never experienced such attitude in a hotel, felt like an intruder. The breakfast was pretty poor, tinned fruit, undrinkable coffee. The rooms are tired with peeling wallpapers, mouldy grout in the shower, only 1 bathrobe for 2 people. Very loud unusable aircon, had to sleep with an open window as it was hot in the room though the noise from the street was insane.

Disappointment on second visit. Wonderful experience first time.

Very loud music until morning, impossible to sleep. No parking place this time, room not properly cleaned. We have been there before and it was a wonderul experience, not like this time. First time we made the reservation from a sweedish website and the room received was quite, clean, spotless, and we had a parking place reserved for us all three days. This time we made a reservation for the same tipe of room, for three days, using booking (RO) and the room received was a disappointment (it was not clean !!!, the pillows were yellow from previus guest's sweats we suppose, the bathroom had dust, thick dust everywhere, etc ..., loud loud music until morning, and on top of that we had to find ourselves another parking place în the middle of the night. We have requested a quitet room and a parking place, and they assured us we will received what we have asked. They did not tell use there will be two wedings, two nights în a row ... until morning. They only announced us that the pool is closed during the weekend for a private event.
