This is a Lovely location, 1 minute from Dumfries Railway Station. 5 minute walk from Dumfries centre. Lovely firm bed. Nice hot shower. The host was a lovely lady. Just what I need when I'm away

Basic but clean (except for half eaten packet on biscuits on hospitality tray) however there is a padlocked door in the room that hides something noisy... Not sure if it was a boiler or immersion heater or something but it went on and off all night and I am a light sleeper so it woke me multiple times.
Also the toilet constantly drips for about half an hour each time you flush it.
Unfortunately I had already changed I to night wear before I realised this and I couldn't be bothered to dress to go and find someone. At breakfast I assume the owner was on the kitchen and the lady serving in the dining room was rushed off her feet so there was nobody to speak to about the room.
Also this site advertised abar and restaurant on the premises... Neither of these now exist!

I arrived to this hotel and was completely disappointed. First I had requested a double bed and was given two single and when I tire to ask why, the lady said she was fully booked that is was that or nothing, just like it sounded! I was shocked and when it came to the room itself again another disappointment, the bed sheet was torn and the window would not luck and bathroom toilet seat was broken the mattress was so uncomfortable, could not sleep through the night and I had a 270 miles trip in the morning to drive which made me park on the motorway to sleep in the car for a while before I could contiune my trip. Never again would I use the place and would not recommend.
