This Victorian guest house has so much character and preserved historical aspects. The sunshine yellow dining room is delightful. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable rooms and beds. Loved the decor in the bedrooms. Beautiful gardens and out door sitting areas. So convenient to train station which was important for me for me. Easy walk into town. Hosts were exceptional. Helpful, chatty, informative. Loved everything about this stay. Would definitely stay here again were I ever lucky enough to return to Dumfries.

Cosy room, comfy bed, great price, gorgeous porridge, warm welcome, wonderful host, superb stories, super stay.
I wish I had found the fan in the wardrobe the first night! lol

Good location, excellent breakfast, generally quiet
Too hot in room - unfortunate to be there during heatwave but blinds/curtains ought to have been drawn to help keep room cool prior to arrival.
