High expectations…..but very disappointing.

Foyer area was very nice…..smart and clean.

Room very small….tired…dark…dusty areas…have taken pics Coffee making facilities poor…. Outside balcony looked unclean, unloved…peeling paint and dead plants…. Just generally disappointing…. Wouldn’t go back.

As lovely as the property is, it needs to be updated, starting with the television.... possibly find a place for smokers so the lobby doesn't smell like an ashtray

A comfortable hotel in the Old Town

This is a very nice hotel in a great location in the centre of the Old Town. Several restaurants within a 5 minute walk, Grande Place not much further. Hotel was welcoming, warm and cosy in a very cold spell. An old building well modernised, and a comfortable room. Helpful staff. And excellent breakfast, spoilt for choice.

The room was comfortable but really quite small. And the bathroom only had a bath, in which a stand-up shower isn't really practicable. But I would go again, as everything else was great!

Fabulous but if you can't provide the drinks maybe don't offer them!

Breakfast was lovely, Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Rooms were very small. Location was fantastic. Staff were very helpful. The hotel decor was lovely

We were told we could have a drink in the hotel before dinner but the member of staff was so busy on the desk that we waited 25 minutes for him to help us when he then told us he had no ice, no gin and he didn't know what mixers he had to put with vodka!!

Comfortable and tastefully-furnished boutique hotel

The hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished. There was a wide choice for breakfast, served in a very pleasantly decorated breakfast room. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and courteous. The locations is ideal, close to shops and restaurants and just a short walk to the central square.

Everything ! Hôtel de la treille is such a classy, elegant, charming hotel. The welcome was warm and friendly, the service was excellent, the rooms very beautiful and comfortable, the view and location is dreamy. Absolutely recommend it.

Very good secret escape and the hotel was perfect.

Went for a concert but stayed to see town. Great place, great hotel, and it could not have been a better location. We filmed a report on Doris Visits as we were so pleased with it.

Lille was so good, and so easy by Eurostar, it is an ideal break.

Boutique hotel in the center of Vieux Lille

Located in the center of Vieux Lille, with a public parking (if you come by car) next door. The entire hotel is tastefully decorated, the staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast is generous.

Breakfast room in the basement was a tiny bit to warm and could use some ventilation

Great location but not a good choice in summer!

Central location was incredible.

We were on the fifth floor in summer and there was no air con, nor was there a mosquito net at the window as it was skylights so we couldn’t leave the windows open. Consequently at 2am it was sweltering and we had to ask for a fan to be brought up to be told there was a fan in the light (which wasn’t obvious). They did bring up an extra fan and it was sufficient to go to sleep in. But I would avoid staying when it’s summer if you’re on the top floor!

Very disappointing.

Location

Room was stifling hot, roof fan did little to cool, noise from the street outside was dreadful from first light onwards. The clue was the packet of ear plugs on the bedside table perhaps. The sheets were also quite uncomfortable, perhaps polyester / poly cotton which is unusual for any hotel these days, and despite it being mid summer the duvet was heavy and thick. I had to curtail my trip by one night for business reasons but with some relief as did not sleep for the 2 nights I was there.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel De La Treille. Location is great, room was spotless and offered a nice view onto the square (we had a deluxe room). We were made to feel very welcome thanks to the excellent service of the gentleman at the reception desk.

Great location!

This hotel is all about the location! It is so easy to walk to anywhere in Lille city area from here and there are lots of lovely cafes nearby. We had a room over the bar however with the double glazed windows it was quiet and we slept well. Lovely clean modern bathroom!

The floors were filthy. Honestly, please clean them!? The carpet is old, stained and dirty and needs probably to be replaced. Also there was no tea making facilities, and.the poor staff down stairs were so overworked they could only manage to give us one very small pot of hot water (which was dirty and tasted like coffee...). New pillows were needed, however the bedding was clean. The owners of this hotel have a great opportunity to do it up a little and make sure the staffing is at a satisfactory level.
