Perfect in every way

Everything about this hotel is perfect; the location is excellent within easy reach of the old town and its many treasures, the staff are absolutely delightful and could not do any more for us, the hotel is smart, well maintained and extremely comfortable. We all wish to return.

Elegant stay in the center of Lille

Nice location, handy parking that you pay by night (so we used for 2 days) and comfortable room. Many nice bars and restaurants around.

Nothing really. The pillows were a bit too high but that’s a personal preference. Very nice hotel.

Great location for Old Lille and a modern friendly hotel

Great location for the Old Town, 200 metres away. We walked from Lille Europe having arrived on Eurostar. Hotel was modern, very clean, had welcoming reception staff and the breakfast was good. In the same street were a number of restaurants and cafes.

Lovely hotel, great location!

We loved our stay! Our room was cosy, warm (during an absolutely freezing week), clean, quiet and nicely made. The bed very comfortable. The location was perfect - a minute walk from the center of the old city. The reception, bar & breakfast room was beautifully made. We were very happily surprised by the bar quality (excellent cocktails!) The staff were always present and very helpful. Some parts of the hotel are still under renovation, but that didn't bother us at all. We are very curious to re-visit the hotel when it is all finished!

We didn't have any important complains. If I had to mention something, it would be the surprising cost of the hotel parking. It costs the same as the city underground parking just outside the hotel.

Lovely property in Lille

Lovely rooms, clean and comfortable, we liked the additional seating area in the room and the tea/ coffee making facilities. The location is good and the parking garage was a bonus. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was very good.

We didn’t particularly like the heating system - above the bed and quite noisy. The weather was cold, we tried to turn it off but needed it back on towards the morning. That would not put us off however, it is a lovely property.

Perfect Location.

Situated in the centre of the "Old Town", it is very easy to find using the GPS. It has a secure underground car park (pre book!) The location is perfect with just a few minutes walk into the centre of the Old Town. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and although it did not interfere with our stay, several areas were rather untidy. Our room was lovely, large, clean and just right for our overnight stay on the way South. There is a huge number of restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. All the staff were very polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food which was constantly being replenished. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We would use the hotel again, mostly because of its location, but it was not our favourite stay.

The underground parking was very convenient. Staff were professional and helpful. The location is excellent.

The room was a bit disappointing. Badly laid out , with hardly any flat surfaces to put things on, silly, small, wobbly bedside tables, power points in unhelpful positions (ie. not near mirrors). The bed was really too big for the room and it was a squash to get round it. The complementary coffee provision was stingy: one big cup, one small one, only two sachets. It all seemed a bit odd for what was quite an expensive stay. And we twice got stuck in the lift!!

Overall the smell was the biggest issue which made it hard to enjoy the stay at the property.

The location in theory was good, but since we arrived on a Saturday the entire city centre was blocked for cars so after looking for a at to get to the hotel for 40 mins eventually we managed by going through a one way street, this was not stated anywhere on the page of the property

1. The smell on our floor was absolutely horrible - both in the corridor and the room. It was of strong chemicals possibly after renovation, but it lingered everywhere and was hard to sleep even with the window open 2. The bathroom door couldn’t close, let alone lock (no turnkey) 3. Very hard to imagine how this is considered a 4 star hotel

Our room had water coming from the ceiling above our stairs we had to put towels down on the stairs and the carpet outside the bathroom was soaking the room smelt of damp

Small welcoming hotel in Lille Old Town

A small friendly hotel close to Lille Europe, walking distance to the Old Town and local eateries. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and happy to suggest the best places to visit and eat during our short stay. Staff spoke English but were also happy for us to practise our French! Although there were works going on at the hotel on the floor above our room, these tended to be started and completed each day mostly when we were out. There was a good choice of food for breakfast, hot and cold, and the staff were friendly and accommodating in regard to any food intolerances. A great hotel for a short stay in Lille!

Excellent location and super comfortable (and big!) bed. The room and bathroom were small but perfect for one person or two on a short stay.

There was a band playing in the hotel’s venue room and it was loud (first floor room). Luckily it finished at around 11pm but would have been nice to know in advance.

Perfect stay for a weekend away

It was a very cosy, comfortable hotel in the perfect location. It was accessible, there was a gated car park, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Could not get better location wise, as it was just a short walk from the centre but had so many lovely bars and restaurants near. It was not my first time staying and would stay again.

Unfortunately on arrival, there was no working water but the staff communicated very well with us and let us know developments.

My shower's clamp bracket was broken so I had to shower in quite an unconfortable position, also the sofa bed was pre installed as bed but I was alone so I turned it to sofa but the seating part was missing so I had to seat on springs... Staff offered to change the room and I when to try another but there was a starnge smell so I gave up... apart from that it was ok, bed was comfy and it was quiet at night

Very Old and dated for a Mercure Hotel that is supposed to be 4 star

Difficult to find but even Sat. Nav. could not find it but very central.

It was very hard to find as you have to go through a no entry road to get there, after going round in circles. The room was very small, we kept banging our head on the sloped ceilings it was very warm as Air-con did not seem to work properly, wobbly toilet seat. The breakfast was very limited for a what was the most expensive Hotel of our trip. Very disappointing.

Nice hotel, really nice staff, great location

Parking was available and secure. Very useful as travelling with a party on 8 motorbikes

Location was very hard to find with lots of no entry or no left turns signs which needed to be ridden through. This was heightened by current pedestrian zones being built in Lille so an email with a small map to get access would have been very helpful.

very convenient hotel near vielle center !

it was in a very nice area and very convenient to park your car in the garage underneath . the room was small but clean.

we like to keep the window open at night but that there was to much noise from the street , cars and people. also our shower didn’t work
