Very good location, friendly welcome and excellent breakfast

Extremely friendly welcome and accommodating re breakfast especially as I was the only guest having breakfast that morning. Everything explained and I was confident if I needed anything my needs would have been met

As my work needs changed maybe access to the lounge for a better workspace would have been good however I didn't ask the question so that may have been available had I asked

Traditional bed & breakfast on the Seafront.

Good sized double room. Four poster bed. Decent shower. Plenty of pillows, and comfortable bed. Excellent sea view. Blinds and curtains in front so easy to keep dark. Quiet street. 100 metres from sea front. Walked from Seaburn metro. Good location for evening match at the Stadium of light.

Nice short break for two- fabulous sea view from the window - and walks along the beach.

We love the location as walking distance to food and beach.

We have stayed at Lemonfield previously for the Location Owners were very nice Had a light issue in bathroom and that was sorted quite quickly

The carpets could do with a deep clean had to make sure we were wearing footwear when walking about. Heating was not that good we were cold at times but had to wait for heating to come on think it was on a timer. The tv was not a smart tv we often came back during the day or early in evening but could not watch a film etc.

Bereavement Stay

Stayed due to a family bereavement, but hotel staff made the stay extremely comfortable. Location was just perfect with walks along the most picturesque coastline and beaches.

If your cycling and need a hotel with a secure place for a bike look elsewhere.

Good location

I booked for the last stage of the sea to sea cycle challenge. In communication with the hotel before arrival I was told my bike would be locked in a shed. On arrival I was told my bike would be outside in the yard. There was a gate lock but it didn’t look secure. There was no breakfast available so I decided to get an early train home.

Never again

The location is the only good thing

First of all, When we arrived, the lady said if we had breakfast, she had to come in at 7, but if we didn't, she could come in at 10 like she didn't want us to have breakfast so we didn't. She was sleeping when the bell was going, and people were trying to book in. We had to wake her when someone wanted to book in. The do not disturb signs for the door are pointless, we had 2 rooms and only one had a sign and when we used it and went out we come back to our beds being done? What if we were sleeping naked and they entered the room? Not very professional and very rude if you ask me. The bed was like a wood board and could feel the springs so uncomfortable. I couldn't shut the blind as the rope would just go round and round, not doing nothing. The extractor fan in the shower room looked like it had never been clean. I was told on the first day we had to be quiet as they had a night worker staying, but. Then you have them running taps and showering at 1/2 in the morning, so you can't sleep. I'm sorry but I will not be booking here again and if you do only stay if you're a night worker, 1 star from me and that is only because of the location.

Clean and affordable accommodation easily accessible by buses leaving Fawcett Street in City Centre!

Great venue for accessing Sunderland's warm inviting beaches/ coast. The hotel offers comfortable and affordable accommodation quite easy to find and not too far from the Sunderland City Centre! I was self catering during my stay and it was a nice touch that my room had a fridge in it.

There is no elevator at this property, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Additionally, there is no staff on-site. While an emergency contact number is provided, our calls went unanswered during the night. Rooms were extremely small, it was actually a refurbished/renovated attic.

Definitely stay here again

The lady who checked us in was very helpful, we booked the standard double room ,it was very clean, modern decor and the beds are like sleeping on a cloud , top quality bed linen . The bathroom was modern with powerful shower , the man who checked us out next morning was helpful and let us leave our cars in the hotel car park while we had a walk along the beach ,there were 10 in our party and no one was disappointed with Lemonfield Hotel , we will definitely stay here again
