Ideally located, perfect for our stay

We were met by a kind lady who explained everything in detail as we'd not stayed at The Lemonfield Hotel before. We were only there for one night and didn't have breakfast the following day, so can't comment. Location was ideal for where we ended up, at The Stack on the sea front about 500m from hotel. We got an Uber into Sunderland City Centre, costing about £6.50. Ample free parking and located about 220m from promenade.

Personally, I don't like a hot bedroom and the heating was on full and room were very warm when we arrived, however this was soon sorted by turning radiators down and opening a window, no big deal, just coming from a personal point of view. No other dislikes

Excellent! Will definitely return

It was fab! Excellent location down by the sea but only a short stroll into town. Comfy beds, excellent shower, plenty of storage space in room and a mini fridge, which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

It really wasn't a problem, but if our room had been serviced on the second day of our stay, I'd have rated this hotel 10 out of 10, which is something I have yet to ever do.

Comfortable and quiet location.

Location was good for us. Value for money. Quiet rooms and quiet location. Shower was hot with okay pressure. Clean and comfortable but no shared spaces.

Family room was two rooms in a weird setup of a triple and then a separate single room. Rooms were very small with nowhere to sit other than on the beds themselves. Bathroom fan didn’t work. None of these are major complaints given the reasonable pricing, I would stay here again.

The location was great, the room was clean and precise.

They take your card details when you check in, I found it odd as i had never experienced that before. Just felt unsafe her putting the last 3 digits into the laptop... never again.

The Lemonfield provides good value for money for an overnight stay.

We received an unexpected upgrade to our room which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious with a roomy en-suite. It was lovely and quiet. Comfy mattress.

On this occasion the hotel were unable to accommodate breakfast for us because we needed to leave by 7:45am as we had a long journey ahead of us. Pillows were rather hard.

Great little stay at The Lemonfield

Nice clean and sizeable double room (room 12) with sea view. Welcoming staff (owners?) and everything was as smooth as clockwork. If you find yourself wanting somewhere to stay in the area, you would find The Lemonfield very suitable.

Almost nothing at all. The only thing to consider, I think, is that the hotel is quite old and so is only suitable for guests with good mobility. There are ground floor rooms, so it may well be worth checking with the owners about accessibility features.

A brilliant hotel to stay at.

Room was excellent..very comfy bed and very well presented room. The host was very friendly and helpful and considerate. Great hotel to stay in..very quiet and within walking distance of food drink and the sea. Very recommended 👌.

Very good location, friendly welcome and excellent breakfast

Extremely friendly welcome and accommodating re breakfast especially as I was the only guest having breakfast that morning. Everything explained and I was confident if I needed anything my needs would have been met

As my work needs changed maybe access to the lounge for a better workspace would have been good however I didn't ask the question so that may have been available had I asked

Traditional bed & breakfast on the Seafront.

Good sized double room. Four poster bed. Decent shower. Plenty of pillows, and comfortable bed. Excellent sea view. Blinds and curtains in front so easy to keep dark. Quiet street. 100 metres from sea front. Walked from Seaburn metro. Good location for evening match at the Stadium of light.

Nice short break for two- fabulous sea view from the window - and walks along the beach.

Nice quiet break - love the sea view from the bedroom window. Fridge in room was welcomed.

We love the location as walking distance to food and beach.

We have stayed at Lemonfield previously for the Location Owners were very nice Had a light issue in bathroom and that was sorted quite quickly

The carpets could do with a deep clean had to make sure we were wearing footwear when walking about. Heating was not that good we were cold at times but had to wait for heating to come on think it was on a timer. The tv was not a smart tv we often came back during the day or early in evening but could not watch a film etc.

Bereavement Stay

Stayed due to a family bereavement, but hotel staff made the stay extremely comfortable. Location was just perfect with walks along the most picturesque coastline and beaches.
