Very poor

Breakfast.

Food served in bar was poor quality and we left the food. Fight in the bar on the evening, witnessed someone been glassed by someone drinking in the pub. Security staff were useless to say the least and this could of been avoided if they acting in promptly. Hotel was been renovated and all the fire escape signs were not visible and we were not informed on this. The carpet in the hotel room was dirty.

Sleepless in Roker

Position of the hotel on the sea front. Bust stop across the road from the hotel, so I didn't need to use the car to get into town centre.

There was no hot water on the first night, but in the morning, it was hot. Loud music in the bar could be heard in the bedroom, so an early night was out of the question So check before you book to see what night's they have a DJ .

Very noisy hotel

The evening staff were lovely and helpful. We were appalled by the noise from the bar in our orihinak room 118. She found anither room for us

We booked and paid months ago to find wd had been given a room 118, directlt ivwr ths bar which was noisy even in the afternoon. At 6 pm the music was turned up to a terrific level right under our room and the bar wasnt even that busy! We discovered that the bar was open until 1pm which was totallly unacceptable to us The room was cold, noi heating on. The bed was very low and not comfortable with a dreadful creak We went to reception snd luckilly for us room 130 was available. We should have bern informed prior to booking on the website. We would have booked elsewhere if we had known

Really enjoyed our stay but felt the £50 deposit a bit steep then having to wait up to five days to be paid back into our account once our room has been checked..

The waiting time to get deposit back which is held back till room is checked. You have left the hotel by then. Only stayed one night.

People in the room at the side were noisy but that’s not the hotels problem I suppose DJ on till late although we were pre warned on arrival. All in all there was nothing to not like

Wasn’t massively impressed with the continental breakfast options on the Saturday morning - the cooked breakfast options, from the menu, were good. The Sunday morning options were all buffet (continental & cooked) and were good.

We didn’t get a wink of sleep in room fan all night going party’s and 6 in the morning more music from restaurant breakfast was nice as allways staff didn’t seem to care what I had to say

Great location with great views.

Room was small but cosy, well cleaned and had everything we needed for a good night's sleep. We were a bit disappointed it wasn't the usual buffet breakfast but it was still really nice.

Room was a bit hot and even with the windows open it was still a bit stifling - better than being cold though!

Shower didn't work and they didn't do nothing. They clean every 3 days so don't expect a clean service. You will see isn't very clean.

Location is good, bed is comfortable, breakfast is varied.

I specifically requested a room on the 1st floor and even told the staff that I did not want to be placed in one of the downstairs rooms, because I had stayed in one before and it was a dreadful, prison-like experience. What did I get? Room 109 — the lowest possible room in the entire hotel. The room itself is okay, with a small window facing the street, but the walk to get there feels like navigating a maze of narrow stairs. Definitely not what I asked for. Paying a £50 deposit that isn’t returned even after checking out doesn’t seem right either. The staff should inspect the room on the spot and refund the £50 immediately when the customer is leaving the hotel.

The room was very dirty with a silverfish insect infestation. The room was also boiling hot and there was no way to turn of the heated towel rail in the bathroom. The music from the bar below was exceptionally loud and went on till 11.30

Our family had an amazing experience during our stay at your hotel. Everything was well-organised, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. We would like to give special thanks to Ian, Jamie, and Tracy for their outstanding assistance and friendliness throughout our visit. Tracy did a fantastic job helping us with the big celebration of our daughter’s debut — her attention to detail and warm support made the event truly special. Ian and Jamie were also very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional service and hospitality that made our stay so memorable.

Fabulous stay as always at our favourite hotel

Everything about our stay was lovely although I think the bathrooms are looking like they could do with a makeover but that didn’t spoil our stay. Breakfast as always was really tasty and you have so much choice we had a four course breakfast! Loved our stay and we’ll definitely be back soon.

Not so much a dislike but more a note about bathrooms needing a bit of modernisation regrouting and flooring stains removed.

We enjoyed it, service and breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast was excellent. My only minor criticism was that the room was very small .

The shower was over the bath , so you had to climb over the bath to get in- as I'm over 70 this was really difficult, also there was no shower matt to prevent anyone slipping, so I believe a health and safety issue here.
