Great experience overall - very minor details could be improved

Maya was super friendly and helpful. She gave us some ideas about places to visit nearby that we followed and were great. The house is lovely and breakfast was good!

The cleaning wasn’t done every day but randomly which was still good as we weren’t there during the day but I’d have expected a daily refresh (maybe not on Sunday but the rest of the days)

A week at Velvet House in Avignon

Nice and comfortable room. Clean. Well aerated. Decent breakfast. Good location, close to Place Pie and Les Halles. Nice host with good suggestions for places to visit

Comfortable and peaceful

Everything is perfect！ I had a memorable and wonderful vacation at this hotel. The hotel was located in a quiet residential area but it’ s easy to go to the restaurants and shops etc., Also I felt very relaxed as if I was staying at home. I really come back to Avignon and this hotel!

Lovely host, wonderful location

The location was wonderful -- away from the crowds but close to everything. Two streets of great restaurants were just a few minutes walk away. And the host Maia is a love. One of the days I wasn't feeling on top and she came up to the room with a kettle so I could make tea. She's just thoughtful and kind in general. She's also very knowledgeable if you need suggestions or feedback on plans.

Elegant and quiet B&B in beautiful old building with great hostess and breakfast

We really loved this B&B! We stayed for four nights and it was the perfect base for exploring Avignon and the region. The room was spacious with gorgeous tiles, tastefully decorated and a very comfortable bed, and a good shower in the bathroom. Maya, the hostess, prepared a very nice breakfast and was great to talk with, and very helpful. We felt like she was a friend by the end of the stay! There is paid street parking but the rate is not bad, we had no trouble parking our large car each time. Overall a fantastic place and we will definitely come again.

Maya the hostess is very nice and helpful. Competitively priced

Good size bedroom, good size bathroom. Lots of hot water. Very clean. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Easy access from the street. Close to many restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.

No TV for the money. Breakfast was chintzy; we had to ask for coffee to be heated. Same mini croissant and French bread every day. No variety. Same melon and kiwi. This is a bed and breakfast model. For those that want alone time in the morning, this isn't it. Free parking is a misnomer. Free is from 7 PM to 9 am. Then 1 euro per hour. But there is competition for parking spaces. It could entail walking to the hotel. Hotel has a 1/2 x 1 inch label on the door frame. Hard to find!

Agréable séjour dans une jolie maison d’hôtes.

Grande chambre confortable et joliment décorée. La maison elle-même est très agréable. Bon petit déjeuner. Bon emplacement, pas très loin du centre (environ. 15 min à pied).

- Nous avons été un peu étonnés de l’absence de produits d’accueil, et en particulier de gel douche. - La maison est située intra-muros donc pas très éloignée de centre mais le quartier n’est pas terrible.
