Very convenient and exceptionally helpful staff. Comfortable bed (room was quite compact but it’s a city hotel). Breakfast was good.

Great location and an historical building. our room had a lovely view of the Palace of the Popes. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Great value. I would highly recommend.

Room quite small for a „superior room“. WiFi had no internet connection. Garbage in bathroom had not been emptied.

Good location. Pleasant front desk staff.

I expected something spartan, but the room was poorly lit, with a sour odor. We had two rooms for our family, and in one, there was visible buildup under the toilet seat that seemed like it had accumulated over time—even after housekeeping had been through. The cleaning felt very superficial, which was disappointing.

It's location was superb. Accessible to everything with the walls of Avignon. Abd the bonus was, a lift had been installed only weeks before!

This little hotel in a tiny alley is quiet and well placed to walk to all the sights of Avignon.

The front desk lady, who has been working for the owners for many many years was a wonderful help. She call a cab for me and kept me company while I waited for it to arrive. They are lucky to have such an enthusiastic, friendly and capable employee.

Highly recommend to stay at this hotel!!

We were given a recently remodeled room which was exceptional. Location was terrific and just far away from the busy areas. But only a few minutes walk from the Palais des Papas. Staff were great as they gave us terrific restaurant recommendations and told us to take a trip to Arles (18 minute train ride). Wonderful little town.

Beautiful! Undergoing a complete renovation but it was handled wonderfully. We only heard construction noise one morning very briefly. The staff were charming and helpful- made great suggestions for using our time wisely and for amazing dining choices! The location was very convenient (easy walk) to all the local attractions.

Nothing- It was perfect! However there was no lift, which wasn’t a problem for us, but might be difficult for some and it wasn’t noted on the description. And the staff were very willing to assist with bags for those who needed help.

Wonderful location and great view.

The room was recently renovated but it wasn't ready. The power kept tripping and going out so we had no chance to charge our phones or use the tv or the kettle, or lights for most of the first day until staff arrived late afternoon to explain that the fuse tripped. We then had to fix it ourselves several times. The phone was not connected so we could not call staff to alert of the problems, we had to go downstairs. The fridge door could not open to put drinks in because the space is too small. There were no hand towels or face towels or towel hooks/rails. There were no batteries in the TV remote and the shower was only warm, not hot. Also the WiFi was very weak.

Location.near all siggts. Comfortable beds nice size room.clean.

No lift, had to carry luggage two set of stairs. They offered breakdast in the advertisement. There was no service due to a remodeling process. Noisy street.

the location was good.

The hotel was under renovations but no one told us that. So it was too noisy to work or nap during the day. and it was dusty and dirty. The walls were so thin that you could hear every word of your neighbors. We checked out a day early.

worked hard,, loved the location...will stay there again

as usual great location, nice people, good room, good value. However..the renovations in progress were somewhat worrying and made the stay a bit difficult as one had to avoid paint pots etc. I gather they will be finished soon, so would certainly stay again. Charming people. Sal

Harmful to health

Arrived on April 3.was to stay 4 days.when we arrived very very Toxic smell of turpentine. We asked what was going on and was told hotel was being renovated, but some rooms are open We went never notified of this.went to room and was immediately nauseated by fume. We had just arrived from USA to Avignon France and was too tired to move Told front desk can not stay due to conditions of hotel and will need to leave on April 4.Next day told front desk we had to leave and he said would inform owner.no mention of refund.had difficult time finding another hotel.sent message on booking. Com to owner asking for refund..now 2 days later,no response. This hotel should not be open at all due to harmful odor of turpentine and workers in the area of guests. DO NOT DTAY HERE.

Historic but basic

The location is great, just around the corner from the main attraction, the Palais des Papes. The walled city is pretty small, so you could walk to the train station in 15 minutes. The building itself is actually medieval and it has a grand staircase.

Even though the building was gorgeous, the bedrooms and bathrooms were just acceptable, nothing special. People with limited mobility should know that there's no elevator.

Too much noise from neighboring rooms and outside construction, dated decor, no hekp getting luggage uptairs, unclear that bewakfast was not included. Stenxh like vinegar throughout the building.

Breakfast was as expected, fruit salad, pastries, bread and assorted cheeses and charcuterie. The room was clean and comfortable, staff on check in and in the morning were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here.

Good location to explore the city of Avignon. We really liked the family room with one double and two single beds with partition and bathroom in-between. We were grateful for the aircon on the hot day we arrived

WiFi is terrible because it switches off when not in use and it was painful to keep logging in over and over. Network coverage is poor in the area so WiFi is essentially the only mode of connection to the online world.
