Great place to stay for the value. Centrally located and easily accessible to main attractions. The only downside would be the parking situation…maybe I didn’t read correctly but they do not have a parking at the hotel. Had to park at a separate parking lot that’s about 6-7minutes away by walk. It wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t have suitcases. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Hotel du Palais des Papes offers a wonderful value for its location in the middle of the historic city center of Avignon. The building itself has some age to it and if you're visiting Avignon for the history and ecclesial sites, you will enjoy your stay here. If you want a resort experience, this is not for you but if you want a hotel to facilitate exploration and have a nice air-conditioned room with hot water & comfy sheets to come back to, this is perfect.

I enjoyed my stay in this centrally located hotel. One thing that was a bit weird, was the temperature of the water in the shower. It starts out cool and eventually after a few minutes, goes to hot, but there is no way to set it per say. You take what comes out 🤷🏻♂️

Parking is a short walk away but it’s underground so luggage up and down stairs is not fun. Nearby a number of attractions and restaurants.
