À great location in the centre of city. Plenty of choice regarding restaurants and shops. Museums and art galleries close by.
Everything was good.

friendly staff
Entering vicinity of hotel by car is perplexing/challenging. There is a submersible steel dome in the car path preventing cars to proceed unless one knows how to lower that steel dome. Hotel should have told us in advance how to operate the dome so the car can proceed.
Nothing boutique hotel about it.
The room smells of dust as though house-cleaner is using vacume cleaner's dust bag over and over without replacing it with new dust bag.
Room lacks cleanliess. Dirty floor in room.
No food allowed in room
No in room safe (safety box)
Shower room wall plaster work looks like done by amateur
The entire hotel needs a more decent facelift.
No in-room mini refrigerator
No CNN tv channel despite being advertised
Room temperature cannot be adjusted
Toilet seat not stable/fixed, it moves.
Electric hot water pot not working.

Beautiful and convenient area. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Pleasant staff
Difficult to reach by car. No parking. No warning or suggestions in the booking about access. Time consuming and frustrating to figure out how to get to hotel.

The staff were lovely and accommodating. The food was lovely. The bigger room we had was lovely.
The smaller room was at the corner of the building and there was a lot of noise outside. The couple in a neighbouring room were also leaving and entering at all hours of the night which caused lots of disturbances, but obviously was not the fault of the hotel.

I had a great room (101, I believe) with a nice view off of the side of the hotel. The air conditioning was excellent considering how hot Avignon was in July. I underestimated when booking the hotel how fantastic the location is, you are really right in the center of Avignon, so it's very safe and there are many food places nearby. I would stay here again.
I passed on the breakfast as it didn't look worth the price. I asked if I could just grab a coffee (from the machine), but no. Not a big deal, but I like when hotels are a bit more generous with tea and coffee.

The hotel is located on the main street of the city and is very close to the Pope's Palace. The receptionists were nice. The room was clean and big enough. The bathroom was modern and sparkling clean. There were enough sockets in the room. I definitely won't look for another hotel if we return to Avignon.
We only had time for two nights

Great location right in the city center, many shops and restaurants around the hotel

I was travelling by train so arrived in Avignon too early for a normal check in but was able to leave my luggage and go off to explore the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, the air conditioning very effective, the bed comfortable and the shower powerful.
The hotel is well sited, about 10 minutes walk up from Avignon Centre railway station and convenient for the centre of the old city with its restaurants and the Palais de Papes.
Be aware that the elevator only goes up to the fourth floor. Although there are rooms on the "fifth" floor (where I stayed) you have to climb two flights of stairs to get there - not much fun if, like me, you are 73 and use a walking stick so make sure the hotel knows of any mobility problems when booking. On the other hand you DO get a fine view across the rooftops when you're up there!
The hotel is of the older type and is slightly worn and battered but certainly my room could do with a deep clean - see the photo of the steel leg of the sink support, those stains are OLD!

Location was perfect! Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful.
Had to carry bags since old Avignon closed down for cars after 11am. The AC was not working great and it was hot in the night. Parking was a quick 10 min walk.

I have visited Avignon before and stayed in different hotels. I will return to this one from now on. The location is perfect, just a few blocks from the main parking lot outside the wall in one direction, and a few blocks from the Gare Centre in another. All of the cultural and historic sites are equally close. This is a gorgeous old hotel (the name is carved in the stone that caps the building) that has been nicely remodeled and updated. The room was the largest of the hotels we stayed in during a month in France. Our room overlooked the tree-lined Rue Viala. Hard to beat!
The bathroom could be wider. There wasn't much clearance around the toilet. However, it wasn't the tightest of the rooms I have stayed in.

Location is perfect right in the heart of the square. 5 minute walk from the Pope’s Palace. Restaurants, cafes etc in the same area. The train station is at the end of the street probably 10 minutes walking distance. Nice small quiet hotel although on busy street. Highly recommend when staying in Avignon.
The furniture is outdated, there’s a step up to bathroom in my room which you can trip on.

The room had very good space and was comfortable. Location is great, within walking distance to attractions. They have a 24 hours reception and an elevator (elevator is small but functional). Lives up to their name of being a boutique hotel!

The location is ideal for all the major sights and for exploring the old town area. Our room was very clean, spacious and attractive.
While the room was bright, clean, and spacious, the hallway from the elevator to the room was dingy, with chipped paint, and an ugly plastic looking floor covering.
The staff were not very friendly or welcoming.

great location
The hotel needs urgent renovations. The paint on the walls was falling off. The furniture inside the room was old and needed a new paint job. The bathroom was not very clean and there was a leftover hair from a previous guest next to the hairdryer. It is definitely not a “boutique hotel” - more like a hostel. The receptionist was not very helpful when we came to collect our luggage and did not even say bye to us when we left. Very dissapointing stay.

Great place to stay in Avignon. Super location, large sized room, comfortable bed, and the front desk personnel were very helpful. Great breakfast pastries to your right as you leave the front door of the hotel. There is also a grocery story just past the pastries for your "picnic" and snack needs. Oh yes, did I mention that they also sell wine there? For a little over 5 Euro you can buy a really nice local rose. Don't forget to bring your corkscrew!
The bathroom was a bit small, but manageable.

Clean, near the train station, which is what we wanted.
Beds could be better, but not bad.

location
trash bin in bathroom dirty
did not have a bicycle storage , though we could store them at a partner hotel, 400m away, for 5€/bike/night in their courtyard, not protected from rain (cost a bit excessive)

My room was in the fifth floor and the elevator only reach the forth floor so not very comfortable if you have heavy luggage
