Wonderful stay in beautiful Sidman

Great position in a quiet part of the village among greenery. We had one of 3/5 rooms with a view of Mt Agung, stunning. Good size room. Comfortable bed. Good, descent size bathroom (but yes close the door to the room for night as the vents are open). Good A/C in a logical position (very important, fellow travellers, right?). Mini fridge very handy. All rooms (villas really) have a small patio for drinks and for watching butterflies and birds. Breakfast area is elevated, with fantastic views. Breakfast was great. The restaurant was good. Having a scooter is handy, you can hire one straight from the hotel for a good price. Pool is clean, of lovely size, very refreshing. The staff is wonderful.

Bug season & lovely staff :)

It was very quiet which was really nice. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The bed was very comfy and spacious.

So many bugs in the room, I felt very overstimulated. I think being rainy season it brings the insects out more, but there were no nets or screen door so insects could easily come in. One night I had hundreds of flying termites come in underneath my door and I had the light on, so the staff managed to turn my light off and brush them out. Even afterwards I had quite a few of them dead in my room. It was supposed to be relaxing but I think for me I found the insects too much, 100% there needs to be a screen door so no insects can come in. Maybe it would be different at this time of year (I visited late November).

Comfortable stay

Komang has been quick to response to enquiries, gave honest advise about the room type. The room I stayed had a view of Mt. Agung when sky is clear. Peaceful environment. I particular like that kind of flip-open window. As it is in the rural area, insects are expected. But I could find dust mites on the bed and I was uncomfortable about it. There was daily basic cleaning and bed made. Only tried their breakfast and it was ok, top-up to Flat White and it was just ok. Probably it is just me as I have a specific taste for my coffee. Staff were helpful and quite to response when I reported an issue.

Amazing room with great view for a good price

We had a view of the mountain from our room which was amazing to wake up to. Shower was good and breakfasts were really good.

Fabulous in every way

Beautiful clean rooms. Very spacious and thoughtfully set up. Amazing views. Lovely helpful staff. Very good choice for breakfast (included). Loved my banana pancakes Incredible value for money.

Best to keep bathroom door closed as mozzies can come in ventilation hole and then sneak into your room and wreak havoc.

Very good location, amazing views and calm! The staff is very nice and the breakfast options are one of the best I had in Bali. Sideman is a magical place!

Great hotel and staff

The room is right by the pool, it’s so nice and quiet! The team is really accomodating, thank you for the scooter ride to the pharmacy under the rain😂. Breakfast is very good, more choice than usual. Warungs, massage and cooking lessons within walking distance. I will be back for sure

The only « negative » point is the bed which is hard and makes a lot of noise when you move. But the pillows are great!!

Extremely bad Wifi Warm water comes probably from a tank, as it was sometimes not enough for 2 people to take a shower after each other Towels were not changed (3-night stay) and since they never dry completely, they stinked on the last day.

Everything was perfect

The staff went above and beyond super friendly and professional! They arranged a scooter rental and even organized a private driver for us. The property was perfect: big, spotless, and very comfortable. And the best part? Amazing restaurants, just a short walk away! I highly recommend !!!

We stayed here for two nights and really loved the location it’s perfect. The bungalow was clean and spacious. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, the staff was very friendly, and I’d definitely recommend renting a scooter to explore the beautiful area of Sidemen.

Wonderful stay.

We booked the room overlooking the pool. The room itself was a good size with plenty of storage available. The shower was powerful, and was hot. Good sized terrace. The bed was a little harder than we would prefer, but that’s been standard in most of the places we’ve stayed. The staff here were lovely, very attentive. They arranged the hire of a scooter for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was lovely and offered a good choice. The kitchen is open all day, we had both lunch and an evening meal, both if which were really good.

The staff are very kind and very helpful, Uni, thank you for taking me to the pharmacy last night, Komang, thank you for the warm welcome, Ayu for your help and conversation, young lady in dining room, I'm so sorry I forget your name but you are so beautiful and kind. Rooms are so clean, AC works perfectly, shower is great and of course the swimming pool is good. Food in the restaurant is very good. We booked for 2 nights, decided we wanted to stay in Sideman for a week, unfortunately Giri Carik was booked out. We found accommodation around the corner and Uni was kind enough to transport me and my bag on her scooter, husband walked. Laundry is taken care of for only 25k per kilo. Walking distance to shops, cooking classes, silver classes, warungs, tour and transport organisers etc. Thank you Giri Carik From Nicky and Andy

The staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. They organised some great trips for us. The room was spacious and looked out onto a swimming pool, which looked lovely though we didn’t use it. Breakfast was delicious.

Great authentic Bali hotel

The welcome drink was lovely, the staff were really helpful. The room had a great view of Mount Agung and was very spacious. We loved the outside bathroom. The swimming pool was well maintained and good to swim in at the end of the day. We rented a moped from the hotel for a good price. It was good to have breakfast included.

We truly liked everything! The location is perfect, with an amazing view on mount Agung by clear sky. The room and bathroom are super clean, with all the facilities (kettle, fan, soap, shampoo, 2 sets of towels per person, etc). The bed is also super comfortable. The breakfast included is very good and the restaurant also serves delicious dishes for the rest of the day. But the best thing at Giri Carik was definitely the staff. Very welcoming, always there to help with a big smile. They helped us book transport and we rented a scooter. All very well organized. We had a great stay!
